I’ve never been to the gift shop part, but we love the café/deli at Pine Tree for breakfast and lunch. Their salads are super fresh and plentiful and the sandwiches are piled high. I love how they chop the tomatoes and pickles into small bites and place them on top of your sub; something I have never seen at any other deli; it’s genius and delicious! Their breakfasts are also very good; with a variety of great food to choose from, including egg sandwiches and quiches, which are some of our favorites. They have fresh dressings and honeys to buy, as well as fresh fruits, muffins and wine. There’s a good amount of seating in a friendly, rustic atmosphere.

I was so happy to find this gem! The store was unique and heart warming and I could of bought a gift for everyone I knew there. The café was filled with delicious treats and it had a wide open feel with lots of seating options. Pine tree was also very family oriented and kid friendly which is wonderful!!:)

My wife has been shopping here for years and has spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars. She wanted to return curtains she bought, but they said she had them too long. It had been awhile because we are not from the area(most of the customers likely aren’t) and only get here so often. They still had the curtains in stock and they still wouldn’t take them back — even though she offered to take lesser priced curtains in exchange. The curtains were not used and were kept in the original packaging. Basically, 1 day you can return them, but the next day you can’t. There was no logical reasoning as to why, just that too much time has passed. Locally run businesses need to differentiate themselves with customer service. I guess Pine Tree Place never learned that. All they needed was to give a little good will, but instead they lost one of their best customers. She’ll still browse there, but then order it online. It’s cheaper and the customer service is as good if not better.

This store and deli is amazing! I love the breakfast and lunch options at the deli, so fresh and delicious. The store is filled to the ceiling with amazing baubles. Be prepared, it is packed and not organized. There is only one of everything. My favorite kind of store, I was in heaven! So many unique pieces for the home, fantastic gifts. Staff is always friendly. We love Pine Tree Place!

A semi cute home and garden/décor store on Rt 1 in Wells. Some neat stuff for the home to decorate with. Some whimsical signs, hooks, pottery, candles, throws, potpourri, lotions and bath stuff, braided rugs, and local made crafts too. Stuff is not too cheesy either.
