I was quoted a price of $ 39.95 for a board game. I declined because it was $ 10 higher than
. After a few minutes, I decided to go ahead and purchase it in order to play with my family while we are on vacation. At this time the owner walked up and said his employee quoted me the wrong price and proceeds to ring me up for nearly $ 10 more than was agreed upon. After expressing my confusion at the change, the owner claimed they were cutting us a deal before, but that we had been in his store twice talking about cheaper prices on
and that we frankly need to take our browsing elsewhere and get out of his store. It was around this time we noticed the
boxes on the floor and that all of his prices were close to being a 50% markup over amazon.
Never before have I been asked to leave a store when I was prepared to purchase something like this. You cannot sell your products at a 50% markup from your competitor, AND actively chase away prospective customers who are prepared to purchase something! Just now I ordered it for $ 10 less than even my original quoted price and it will be in my hands tomorrow, good riddance! Do not shop here, informed consumers not welcome! If this business does not want my money I will follow their advice and go elsewhere.
