History
Established in 2006.
Fine coastal cuisine, sushi, and raw bar, served in an historic post and beam colonial in the heart of Wellfleet.
True to our roots, we set out to push the limits of quality with Mac’s Shack, without adding the layers of pretension that usually accompany such places. The result is a unique and lovable place to eat, where it’s not uncommon to see guests return 3 or 4 times in a one week period.
Our Sushi, under the masterful eye of Ichi-san, rivals the best. Our Raw bar features the wild Wellfleet Oyster — the reigning queen of Oysters. And our kitchen, led by Chef/Owner MacGregor Hay and Executive Chef Michael Jacek, strives to outdo itself each night with creative ways to serve the finest quality food available. At the same time we have not lost sight of the Cape Cod «shack» standards.
The open, casual atmosphere outside by the raw bar and in the dining room contribute to warm camaraderie without distracting from the star of the evening — the food.
