LINX Camps of Wellesley proudly serves Metrowest MA with over 40 premier camps for kids age 3 years — 10^th grade, including Junior (half and full day), General, Adventure, Fine Arts, Leadership, Performing Arts, Sports, and STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and Movie Making). At LINX Camps, we are focused on building a community, one camper at a time. Our award winning camps provide a traditional day camp experience (like a sleepaway camp) that builds community and character while allowing kids to explore their interests. It’s important to us to offer a safe and comfortable camp environment in which all campers, no matter their age or chosen program, feel confident tackling new challenges, trying new activities and building lasting friendships. Theme Fridays, Opening and Closing Ceremonies, and camp-​wide spirit cheers are just a few of the community-​building aspects of LINX Camps that all of our camp families have the chance to enjoy and share with each other for a lifetime. LINX bus transportation is available from 17 metrowest towns.

History

Established in 2008.

LINX was founded by Joe Kahn, a parent of two young children, who had a vision for a company that would enable children to learn new things while having fun. After countless interviews and discussions with parents, educators, business people and more, LINX was founded.

The first LINX location in Wellesley, MA, opened in October of 2005. By adding a team of outstanding people who want to work with children, LINX has grown year after year, adding a summer camp in 2008.

Meet the Manager

Josh S.

Manager

Josh Schiering serves as the LINX Summer Camp Executive Director and the Vice President of the LINX Enrichment Club. Josh has over 15 years of experience managing and directing programs designed to help children thrive. Josh is also a former Health and Fitness Director and he brings his proven track record of successful program design and development, staff recruiting and training and marketing concepts to LINX.

Josh prides himself on his ability to assemble a team that puts children first. His staff training and character development programs have received national recognition. Josh’s bullying prevention programs have been featured in the American Camp Association’s national publication and been used in college courses throughout the country. His unique Same Team approach to staff management fosters an environment in which staff put children first as they work together to help children excel, while pursuing their passions and becoming a part of the larger community.
