CycleBar (formerly called Spynergy) is a dedicated indoor cycling (spin) studio providing an outstanding cardio workout that is actually Fun! The classes are for everyone. 40 bikes and 30 classes per week for all levels. We welcome beginners as well as highly experienced folks. When the music, the environment and the instructor are all top notch, this is an unbeatable workout… ask one of the over 5,000 people from Wellesley, Newton, Needham, Weston, Dover, Natick, that have used our studio in the past 6 years. History

Established in 2004.

CycleBar Wellesley (formerly called Spynergy), is a family business launched in 2004 by brother and sister Bill Pryor and Alex Klemmer. It was the first cycling studio in the Boston area and has now grown to 50 bikes and 40+ classes per week. CycleBar franchises are available nationally.

I really enjoy this studio. I have only ever been on the weekend to Jake’s noontime class, but love every minute of it. Jake is extremely motivating and has awesome music (which can make or break a spin class in my opinion). The bikes are nice Schwinn bikes with a monitor that tracks your distance, cadence, and so on, which has come to be pretty standard at most spin studios these days. The studio itself is really clean and the bikes are not too close together. There are two large TVs at the front of the studio for the instructor to show whatever video they want, I personally enjoy watching extreme sports type videos as I find them motivating while I’m trying to pedal up an imaginary hill. I highly recommend checking this studio out if you are in the area.

This studio is awesome! I have been a handful of times now via ClassPass and the classes are consistently good. I love Neil’s 6AM class, he is super high energy and really wakes you up and gets you ready to pedal your butt off! He gives a lot of positive motivation throughout the class which is a great way to start your day. I also love the fact that CycleBar has two large TV’s where instructors can play music videos or other media which is really nice because it gives you some entertainment throughout class and pumps you up even more. Neil usually shows some GoPro videos which I really enjoy. The bikes are really nice Schwinn bikes with built in monitors which is great to track your performance and there are a lot of bikes available so you don’t feel crammed in next to someone else. They don’t provide cycle shoes but I bring my own (bikes are SPD compatible) or you can wear sneakers and secure them in the cages on the other side of the pedal. Overall CycleBar is a really solid studio in the area and I will definitely keep going back.

CycleBar is a unique spin studio in the Newton-​Wellesley area. The studio is very clean and has tons of bikes– all up to date. The most unique part of this studio is that they play music videos as you ride. For people that get antsy and need some motivation, this is a great add! Great ride!

CycleBar Wellesley offers the BEST indoor cycling experience around! Bikes are new and state of the art; sound system is outstanding; music (audio and video) is diverse and ever-​changing; and studio is clean and well maintained. With all of that said, it is the quality of the instructors that really differentiates CycleBar from other indoor cycling classes. Every instructor takes personal pride in his/​her class and brings incomparable enthusiasm to each class. Many of the instructors have taught at CycleBar (formerly Spynergy) for several years, bringing consistency and a unique comraderie to the CycleBar riding experience. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND CycleBar Wellesley!

Who says you can’t party at 6am! Spin Instructors that are part DJ, part motivational speaker — spinning not just pedals but the latest and greatest hits from all genres.
They create an environment that is motivating — leaving you ready to conquer the day.
I attended two 6am sessions while visiting the area for work. And look forward to returning as well as checking out locations in Ohio and Michigan.

I was addicted to spinning over 5 years ago. Two kids later, I’m now making time for my fitness again. I visited Cyclebar last week where Alex took the time to remind me how to «clip in» and adjust the bike. I took my first class at Cyclebar this morning and am hooked! Neil, the instructor, was enthusiastic and motivating — just what you need at 6am!

I went to this place over the summer with my mom. It had a great new member deal (3 classes for $ 30) so we thought we would try it out. I really enjoyed it! More importantly, my mom really enjoyed and she isn’t too keen on workout classes. There are many different types of instructors and the class is really geared on how hard you want to push yourself so if you’re out of shape it’s ok to keep the resistant kinda low. I am definitely going to keep going to classes and use the workout as a light interval training with my running.

I live in Boston and work in Wellesley. Living in Boston has allowed for me to take advantage of many great fitness studios, classes, boot camps, etc. I was looking for a workout after work, prior to dinner plans I had later in the evening… this is where spynergy came into play. I took a 5:15 spin class (and light arm lifting) with Alex, one of the co-​owners. She was welcoming/​helpful, but not in an overwhelming way. Her class was great — fun music, solid energy, and motivational. This class is easily comparable to many of the best classes I have taken in and around Boston. I left nice and sweaty, feeling as though I had worked hard. I would recommend this studio to seasoned spinners and new comers as well and I look forward to my next ride. Alex is a great instructor and I hope to take her class again, in addition to trying some of the other instructors.

This place always provides an amazing workout. Dedicated spin studio with first class instructors. Alex is my personal favorite and also does a great job providing a challenging work out and a lot of fun. Great new bikes and video screens add to the fun. I have been trying to find a commitment to a workout that will be fun, challenging and help me to stick to it for a long time. This type of exercise is so far the best workout to enjoy. They are group of instructors, cyclists, including the co-​founders who distribute themselves for all classes during the whole week.
I took the free class session was with the co-​founder and he was so friendly and invited me to join the 50 minute class for free! Each instructor play his own music. The music does its role by making you excited and challenge yourself with all other group members to work harder. I really recommend all people who has difficulty to commit to a workout to try this place or generally indoor cycling with a group.
Only thing that teases me is that Bertucci’s is next door! I had this scenario in my mind so many times where I want to ruin my workout: D

This place is awesome! It’s one of the only indoor cycling studios dedicated only to spinning that I can find in the Boston area. I’ve been to two classes, with two different instructors, and both times were great. The people who work there are friendly and helpful without being in your face. I was worried that they might not play very good music, but I was pleasantly surprised by the selection. They turn down the lights, which I always appreciate in spinning classes, and they have towels available. Also, parking is relatively easy.
Your first class is free, so you can try it out if you’ve never been to a spinning class before.
I wish the passes weren’t so expensive, though. I feel like they’re priced for the residents of Wellesley rather than us twenty-​somethings who trek out there from Boston, but I guess that makes sense. But I’m still hooked!
