At Axiom Learning, we understand how much is riding on your SAT scores. Our team of Harvard, Columbia, and Dartmouth graduates have successfully navigated the process themselves and will design a customized, 1-on-1 SAT preparation program for you by targeting your areas of need and working around your schedule. Our process for customizing your learning plan includes:
— Customized diagnostic exams — which we offer free and without obligation;
— Based on our diagnostics, we are able to design customized learning plans which focus on the areas where you can recapture the greatest number of points in the shortest time possible; and
— We get results — our average score increase on the SAT is over 300 points and on the ACT is over 8 points.
— Our students have gone on to a number of the top universities, including Harvard and Stanford, and the top private secondary schools in the country.
History
Established in 2005.
Axiom Learning was founded by Harvard graduates who are parents themselves. As parents, we found ourselves frustrated by the one-size-fits-all approach to education where every student gets the same type and level of instruction regardless of their ability or learning preferences. We founded Axiom on the belief that every student deserves an educational experience built for their own individual needs and around their own learning styles and objectives. Even though we benefited from attending some great universities, we also recognize that the ultimate objective for each of our kids is that they be happy and successful in their own chosen paths. Whether they go to Harvard or elsewhere, we wanted to build an educational experience which gives each student the opportunity that comes with having choices to pursue whatever they want and to have the skills to be successful while doing so.
Meet the Manager
Kathleen D.
Manager
Hello there! My name is Kathleen Dobell, and I earned my B.A. in Government and Environmental Studies at Dartmouth College. I hail from the beautiful state of Colorado where my parents and five siblings still live. I have tutored students of all ages in a variety of subjects — from test prep to learning efficiency programs to ELA. I’ve worked in both Montessori and traditional elementary schools, and I tutored through America Reads while studying at Dartmouth. Later, I decided to join the First Year Student Enrichment Program (FYSEP) at Dartmouth which helps first generation college students through their freshman year. I was a «mentee» in this program my freshman year and a mentor my junior and senior years, and I certainly credit FYSEP and its directors with developing my love of teaching. With these experiences, I knew Axiom was the perfect place to continue fostering my passion for education. I love what I do, and I’m excited to share my enthusiasm for learning with your child!
