Mt Hood Village RV Resort

If I could give this no stars that’s what I would do, we rented a cabin for the weekend and it was filthy, there were dirty dishes (and I mean food still on them) in the cabinets, I had to wash everything before use. The pull out couch smelled so strongly of urine it was disgusting and unusable. The bbq was caked with grease and food, when I told the people in the office they basically shrugged it off… we definitely won’t be back

I could write pages about this place but I will not waste your time.
Do yourself a favor and save your money there are better and cheaper RV parks.
It’s sad that this RV resort is in such bad shape because it is in a beautiful location in the Mt Hood area.
Ok a few of the problems —- RUDE staff, dirty sites and not level, pool run down, NO WIFI unless you pay for it, although it is gated the code changes and they don’t tell you, bathrooms dirty, showers moldy and their pictures on the internet are out dated believe me the park does not look like the pictures. This was a beautiful RV park at one time it’s a shame the owners have let it go to hell.

Absolutely NOT the Mount Hood Village it used to be! Made a reservation for a month and were told we had to be in Cedar Ridge because we were «monthly». Okay not bad even though we’re not going to be residents. When we checked in we were told we couldn’t do anything else because everything was booked for Labor Day. Okay again, we’ll move after Labor Day. This morning we went to the office to see if we could move to a sunnier spot after being in the slums in the dark rainy cold section of the park with the residents only to be told again we were «monthly». We are NOT monthly, we’re just camping for a month. Then we were told to come back in the morning to talk to Tammy. Inquiring further we were told the other area had no meters for our electric bill. What??? The first we’ve heard of an electric bill! They said «you paid a deposit when you checked in». No we didn’t and I told them that. Guess what? We didn’t. We will NEVER EVER EVER stay here again. Office staff tells a different story every time depending on who you talk to and don’t seem to give a damn either way. We are on our way into town to move to a different RV park. I’m guessing no refund but don’t care. $ 560 a month for an RV «Resort» and being surrounded by residents who live in 25 year old trailers with crap all over outside is not a resort!

Absolutely the best RV /​Campground my wife and I have been to! Close to our home in Boring Or, modern, clean, restaurant, store, pool, spa and so much more. Employees are all friendly and helpful! We hike bike ride and have fished in the river. There is a large tent for activities such as karaōke and much more. We have a Motor Home but will be staying in one of their cabins when there is snow on the ground. Prices are very reasonable and we save a lot in fuel cost by not going on the longer trips. Restaurant food is ten stars! Other campers are always fun to meet and share stories. My. Hood Village is now our home away from home!

This is a large park with RV and tent sites. They offer discounts for military and other groups. There is a pool here and cell phone service (AT&T) and WiFi. The staff was friendly and the prices was reasonable. They have flushing toilets and showers but the bathrooms are not very clean. This place would be fantastic if they would clean them up!

This place could be a gem if the people that ran it cared. But I guess it doesn’t matter if your the only RV park in the area .We have been here for 7 days and nobody has cleaned the 1 jacuzzi or pool or bathrooms all filthy dirty. Outside everywhere there are overflowing dumpsters that stink. Obviously there’s no drought here because everywhere u look broken sprinklers and the ones that do work are watering the parking lot campsites have lots of nails from fire pits. On the upside the Dragonfly restaurant was great. This resort charges way to much per night to be so poorly managed. The staff is lazy and there is zero enthusiasm. Step it up thousand pines!!!

Was $ 57 and they had lots of bugs think hat for that much they would do some control. And they didn’t have caps for the sewer Dumps so we had the opportunity to smell sewer randomly when the wind shifted during our stay. The staff seamed a bit uncaring about the stink.

This is a nice place. The sites are camping not concrete world which was fine with us. There are full hook ups and it was not crowded at all for our stay. There is hiking and a trip to the old Mt Hood Lodge close by. The pool facility is large. There are beautiful lawns We travel with 25′ airstream and the site was fine. Not sure why people did it like this place but we thought it was nice. We were tucked back into the moss covered trees on an end site. It was great. Easy to level the trailer. Great place to ride bikes around. Long walking path. Check it out. Good Sam discount if u ask when making reservation. Beautiful park!

We stayed here in late October of 2014 for our maiden voyage in our recently purchased RV. We didn’t have reservations but they weren’t full. We got there after dark and they were so nice to us. Gave us a spot that was easy to pull into for us newbies. Got all hooked up and had a great evening. Went to bed listening to the rain on the roof. Great walking trails which we explored since we had brought our dog with us. The campground employees were really nice, giving us tips and checking to see if we had a good time or if we needed anything. (we did need the cable hookup male to male connection and they gave us one and told us to keep it for future use) We met some really nice people who we plan to hook up with again later this year for good times and BBQ. We are going back next week and have reservations for the 4^th of July weekend.
It’s not far from home but a world away!
6÷10÷15 I wanted to update my review as we went back in late April for three nights. The weather was great! We had two dogs with us this time and had a wonderful time. We hiked the trail to the salmon viewing area which is really nice (take lots of water with you) We had a great campsite which we were allowed to pick when we made our reservation. We stayed over Sunday into Monday and pretty much had the place to ourselves.
My only complaint was numerous campsites which had «extra» people in both Saturday & Sunday and the parties into the night on Saturday.
Restrooms were clean and shower was HOT!
And yes we are going back for the 4^th of July long weekend.

This was a disappointing experience for both parties traveling with us.
First of all, on the website they show a video claiming all that you’ll experience if you stay at Mt. Hood Village. IT’S BOGUS. During our stay, we realized the majority of what was shown on the video is actually from SURROUNDING areas and attractions. This is false advertising at it’s finest. You will not find much to do IN the resort, you will not find hiking trails IN the resort, there is not grand beauty IN the resort. However, about ¼ mile away is a GREAT hiking park, and we did enjoy the scenery on our hikes there. The other fun shown in the video is on Mt. Hood itself, about 20 minutes away. Having driven over 3 hours to have the experience shown in the video, we were greatly disappointed!
When I made the reservations, I was told there were not two large yurts available during our travel dates. We were told the only option was one small yurt and one large yurt. However, during our stay there actually WAS a second large yurt available each night of our stay. We were making reservations through an Amazon local advertised special for a large yurt. That’s what we purchased. I feel since we used the Amazon special, we were shorted so they could still try and sell the larger yurts.
Since we would be traveling from another state, I asked the company headquarters at the time of reservation if the check in time (4:00) was written in stone, or would we be allowed to check in a few hours early if we arrived early. I was told as long as the yurts were ready, that was not a problem.
However, when we arrived at 2:00 pm, a surly older woman at the front desk rudely told us we were too early, and that it was not possible for us to check in before 4:00 pm. She told us the yurts were absolutely not clean and ready yet. After some discussion, she still wouldn’t budge on letting us check in, but waved us in to the parking lot and said we could spend two hours waiting in the parking lot, or we could «look around», but that she would absolutely not give us the key to our yurts until 4:00 «because they aren’t ready». We drove past our yurt, and looked in, and they WERE in fact ready. I would understand if it were their policy, but since headquarters had no issue with this, I don’t see why she felt the need to be unreasonable about it.
The yurts themselves are quaint, and so I give them that much credit. Bunk beds in the larger, futon in the smaller. The roof has a skylight, which is a nice touch. They are heated and have lights/​electric, fire pits and bbqs. If you choose to stay in a yurt, I recommend #3. We got #4 and it has no shade cover or privacy. #3 has nice vegetation around it and shade over the picnic area. #1 is the smaller yurt.
That was another issue. Knowing our parties were traveling together, they put us in the two furthest yurts from each other! So my brother in law got a smaller yurt than he’d paid for, even though the size he paid for WAS available, AND they couldn’t even bother placing us near one another.
The pool and hot tub are nice. It rained most of the time we were in camp, so it was nice to be able to take the kids to an indoor pool to swim. They also have a fitness center, and a (mediocre) rec room with standard fair (though you do have to buy balls for ping pong/​etc).
I didn’t expect perfection in the restrooms/​showers, as this is basically a camping experience and most camp restrooms aren’t all that. The pro was hot showers — it was nice to be able to take a hot shower when needed! The privacy of having a shower curtain and a shower stall was nice as well. The shower curtains were EXTREMELY mildewy though, with mildew going more than half way up the curtain on some. The restrooms were not pristine, but for a camp restroom they were pretty clean. They were in need of some repairs — the faucets didn’t stay on as long as they should have (two were broken) and I heard the same of the men’s rooms, one shower was stuck on for hours, etc.
The bathrooms are supposed to have locks on them, with a key code. However, I’m not sure what the point is because the one into the women’s bathroom was completely broken, and this allowed access by all sorts. One evening during our stay, a truck drove up and parked near the restrooms/​showers. A bit later I took my girls in so we could shower, and low and behold a MAN was in the WOMEN’S shower! I quickly scurried my girls back to our yurt, and my husband came with me to investigate what was going on, if we needed to alert authorities, etc. We discovered the man was with a woman in there. This brought relief that at least he wasn’t a predator, however it was still pretty unacceptable.
Overall, it was just meh. I wouldn’t ever recommend it to anyone. I would definitely recommend a yurt stay somewhere else, more serene. Hot showers and indoor pool are a plus. Rude, overly controlling front desk staff, bogus reservation claims, and especially false advertising were major downer

Well we are members with the 1000 trails camping membership and have traveled across the usa this summer. We left in June from York, Pa and arrived out here at this park on August 22, 2014. Upon arriving we had reserved a 50′ pull thru for our retirement present for being good hard working citizens. Lol anyhow upon arrival at the park, we were told once we arrived that our current reservations were no good. Wait, we just drove 3200 miles to spend time with our grandchildren and the spot we reserved online and paid full for, isn’t available??? Well it wasn’t. So they found us a pull thru in the «hemlock» camping area. Nice treed area, but 1 MAJOR flaw. No sewer hookups.
Also, after we got settled in and after a few days of staying around camp relaxing we started noticing on the ground that there were being nails, spikes, etc laying all over the ground. Not good !!!
Overall it’s a lower but affordable place to stay. Quiet, kinda clean, swimming pool was GREEN, hot tub DIRTY, BATHROOMS DISGUSTING !!!

I would not recommend this place to friends or family they have false advertisement call and make sure they have what you want before going I was very disappointed and poor customer service
