I wish I could leave zero stars. You would be better off leaving your child in the third ward than with this ghetto facility and uneducated, heartless workers.
Do you know how many violations this facility has? They children are not properly to the ratio of the standard by the state.
When you first meet the staff, they are fake nice to you. When you pick up your children, and they are crying bc of the mean attitudes of the workers, you will understand.
The ghetto receptionist with braces seems to think that her facility is above the law and can get away with anything. — as she said she could. The ghetto receptionist refused to refund my money, or give me a contact number for the director of the facility. After looking up the business licenses online, I now have the information I need to pursue a civil lawsuit against this ghetto company.
DO NO TAKE YOUR CHILDREN HERE. They will be NEGLECTED like mine was.
There is another after hours facility on hwy 3 and nasa, and they are much nicer there.

We have used this daycare for both of our children since 2008. I will admit I was nervous when they were in the baby room but once they got to the toddler and big kid rooms they did great! There are things to do and the playground is big enough for all ages to enjoy. I would recommend for a night out on the town or the occasional break!

We have been taking our 4 year old daughter here for about 3 years and we LOVE it! She has so much fun playing with the other children, especially in the bouncy room or on the playground, or doing the extra activities like Dance Party and arts and crafts.
All the ladies are super nice and caring. If I ask any of them questions about my daughter’s day, she will find out for me if she doesn’t know. And I like how they have to unlock the door that leads to where the children are so that not just anyone can get to the kids.

I will NEVER use or recommend this place again. My oldest started going around 18mths and it completely scarred me for life. I am now so paranoid about any and every daycare.
When you first go in, they are so nice and sweet and give you the grand tour… but when you pick up, or drop in unexpectedly, you’d better bring a camera. On more than one occasion I walked in on the pre k teachers not paying attention to the 15+ kids they had. Either off talking to another teacher or in the kitchen doing nothing. On SEVERAL occasions, I saw every kid drinking out of every cup there. They just leave all the sippy cups sitting on the tables and all the kids take any cup from the table and drink it. I complained about that but they did nothing. 2 days after I saw that, my daughter (who was born premature) came down with a severe cold that wouldn’t go away. This was her first daycare and she had never gotten so sick before. It got so bad that it landed her in the hospital for a week because it turned into pneumonia in BOTH lungs! Afterwards, I called and tried to get my $ 80 of unused time that I had sitting there and they refused to give it back to me. They would not refund my unsused money back but told me I could come in anytime or GIVE my time AWAY to someone else! Really?!
Never, ever again!

This is a great childcare service. Drop-​in childcare, good from babies up through about 9 yrs old. Spacious attractive building, lots of entertainment and activities for the kids. For one kid, much cheaper than a sitter, and probably better play. Of course, the kid is being exposed to lots of other kids, with all the good and bad of that. But this place is so convenient. And they’ve got a good security model.
I started using Gimme a Break more than a decade ago (in their old, smaller location.) At that time, AFAIK, it was the ONLY drop in childcare place open evenings. I often wondered why there wasn’t a place like this down in the theater and entertainment district downtown — I’d have made it to a lot more plays if there were.
Now my oldest kids are teens and can watch the younger ones, so I don’t need this place as much. But my church has occasionally had evening events that take up our whole building and we’ve used this place for the childcare — and only gotten good feedback from the parents.
