History

Established in 2007.

Weaverville Pet Pantry is the legacy of Lola, my Rottweiler puppy who at the age of 18 months was diagnosed with incurable, untreatable cancers and given a three month life expectancy by highly respected conventional veterinarians. After switching Lola’s care to an experienced complementary vet she lived joyfully until just after her 4^th birthday, thanks to an improved diet and a carefully prescribed homeopathic remedy.

When I moved to Western North Carolina in 2005 there was no source for premium natural pet foods where we were living, in the hinterlands to the north of Asheville. The Pet Pantry gives me the opportunity to use both my longtime experience with the healing potential of good food and the knowledge I acquired while working with Lola’s vet.

Weaverville Pet Pantry is actively connected to the community. We are proud to support local rescue groups and to connect our customers to the many wonderful professionals in our area who work with animals in various capacities.

Business Owner

Originally from New York, I have a lifelong interest in health and nutrition and a love of animals and people. My background is varied and includes working in business, being a licensed social worker and an Interfaith minister.

In addition to enjoying day to day socializing with our Pet Pantry customers, I often have the privilege of officiating at pet-​inclusive weddings.
