Our eye care team is here to care for all of your vision needs. We provide routine eye care for all ages, with an emphasis on wellness and prevention. Dr. Kim Walters and Dr. Nathan Davis specialize in routine eye care, specialized contact lens fittings, and the prevention and management of ocular disease. We are passionate about patient education and believe in empowering our patients through knowledge. The Optix Eye Care Vision Development Center, led by Dr. Nathan Davis, brings Vision Therapy to Western North Carolina, filling a void in ocular wellness for the area.

History

Established in 1998.

Dr. Kim Walters founded Optix Eye Care in 1998 and moved to the current Weaverville location upon the building completion in 2003. In her continued commitment to providing the best in patient care, she has recently completed a renovation and brought an associate Optometric Physician, Dr. Nathan Davis, to the practice.

This was the best eye exam I have ever received… and since I’ve been wearing glasses for 20 years… that’s saying something. The building is light, bright and very pleasing to the eye. I was greeted promptly and didn’t even have to wait.
The assistant that checked me in stayed with me throughout the entire exam and once I met with Dr. Walters, she was thorough and helpful and explained her findings and the best recommended care for my eyes. She reminded me how important my eyes are and reminded me to be sure to wear my sunglasses!
I returned later in the month to select a new pair of glasses and the optician who fitted me was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and when I had a difficult time adjusting to my new lenses… she went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied and comfortable. I would definitely recommend Optix Eye Care and already have to several of my friends and clients.

Excellence in Eye Care! Dr. Walters did a wonderful job explaining what she was doing during the eye exam. The entire staff was helpful and friendly. Fantastic selection of eyewear and the optician did a great job with helping me understand what lenses were best for me.
I’ve been to «get your eyeglasses cheap and fast» places and after receiving this type of eyecare, I never will again. My eyesight and eye health are very important to me. I highly recommend Dr. Walters and her excellent team.
