I think my number one complaint is that the fountain drinks tasted moldy. They don’t sell bottled except beer. The place is not clean and it made me nervous eating the ribs I ordered. I didn’t get sick so I guess they were okay, but they tasted weird. There is a large area for seating but I think it’s primarily designed for takeout and everything is served on paper.

We just moved to Weatherford, and we love this place. My favorite are their ribs and love the tomato salad. Their sweet tea is real good!

Tender, fall off the bone pork ribs, but I’ve had better BBQ. However, I would go back without hesitation if someone asked me.

there bbq sauce is ok better than the overly sweet crap you normally get a most places. but there brisket has no taste and you can tell there food was prepared earlier then set out all day. there sides are pretty mediocre and it cost 10 bucks for just a sandwich and a side and the portions are laughable. that overpriced side comes in a tiny container.

This place is disgusting. There are a ton of flies throughout the entire restaurant, including on the food. The scalloped potatoes are very greasy and bland. The barbecue sauce tastes just like ketchup. All of the meat is bland and flavorless. The service was really slow, even though the food is pre-made. The whole place is filthy. We’ll never be coming back.

Barbecue!!! Fried Pies!!! Peach Cobbler! Marinated tomatoes! Au Gratin Potatoes! Country-style green beans amandine! Iced tea with more lemon than you can use! What’s not to like? Ribs! I love their ribs! They’re Dry Rub and sauce is on the side. Hubby likes brisket and pulled pork. We’ll be in town for the weekend and we’ll be here every day!

I am sorry to do this, but I LOVED the Bakers ribs in Greenville, TX, and this is the same exact company and you would think that the food would be consistent, but it’s not! The BBQ here was absolutely terrible in every way, they only thing that they did well was the fried pies. I couldn’t believe it, I just wasted my money on this crap food. Please somebody call the Greenville one and have them teach this location how to do proper BBQ!

I would have to give this place a low average. The meat was not cooked thoroughly though, was bright pink. Scallop potatoes were crunchy not cooked through and greasy from the cheese. The meat though it was a dry rub you would need to add sauce. The sauce was on a tangy but spicy side. My son said it tasted like Arby’s sauce. The peach cobbler was a mash of cobbler doughish material. The macaroni and cheese did not have enough cheese and was overly seasoned, it was cooked to the point that it was mashed. Now to their signature pies my son got the chocolate pie, I got the peach pie. The pie is very greasy doughy material reminiscent of McDonald’s pies at a larger scale. So you’re biting into a greasy pie material with a ingredient in the middle. Overall, even though my review is not 100% positive, I would not eat here again. It’s unfortunate as this was a trip to Texas from California and I was hoping for some very positive uplifting barbecue, Texas style! The only thing big in this meal was the price. I have included two pictures of two meals for the price of $ 38. That’s big in Texas for takeout for two people. I was thinking this place is more of a one and a half star location. Also the food did upset our stomachs and went through us just as fast as we put it in. Egads!

Hubby and I stopped by this BBQ joint on the way home from a weekend hiking at Possum Kingdom. As you can imagine, we were famished and in dire need of some nice, nutritious food after this little romp in the woods. Thanks to my good friends at Unilocal,we found this spot. Recently, I found out they have a location in Dallas, too, so I definitely will be revisiting their other location in the future :) Good grub here! I enjoyed their signature ribs and sausage while hubby chowed down on some ribs and chopped beef. Everything was absolutely finger-lickin-delish. Sweet tea was on point, too. For what you pay, you get a pretty decent amount of food, which is a nice change of pace. Also, free ice cream!!! :) My only reason for 1 star off is that we shared we chocolate fried pie(apparently one of their famous treats) and we simly weren’t too impressed :/Maybe we’ll try a different flavor in the future and our minds will change but that’s where we stand on that.

Tried a fried chocolate pie when I was there recently. Not my favorite. A little greasy and just blah. Still a huge fan of food. BBQ sauce is really good.

I’ve never been to a Baker’s Ribs before and decided to stop on my way through to Decatur. I ordered sliced brisket, turkey, and a sweet tea. The staff was very pleasant and service was fast. It goes downhill from there. The turkey tasted like something you would get from the deli at Wal-Mart, and looked like it too. I’ve never had BBQ turkey like that anywhere. And it was wet — like, slimey wet. The brisket was better. Nothing to write home about. Average. The tea tastes like literal dirt, to the point where I had to check to see if there was dirt in my tea. I suspect maybe the dispensers haven’t been fully cleaned in awhile, or maybe the tea was extremely old. I couldn’t finish it, which is a shame. I did enjoy the barbecue sauce though, so that’s something.

That was an awesome chopped brisket sandwich! Loved the Cole slaw and scalloped potatoes. Also No MSG on their rub! Yay Hubby loved the pulled pork. Taking home apricot fried pies for breakfast.

One of the best places I’ve had for good barbecue. Walking through the front door, we were greeted by the wonderful smell of barbecue, then the wonderful staff. They were attentive to my wife and me and our picky 2 boys! The music wasn’t loud, like some ridiculous honky tonk; the booth seats are comfortable. The turkey was not salty; the flavor was just right. Both brisket and pulled pork were flavorful and the barbecue sauce is great… just the right amount of sweetness and tartness. Mac & cheese and green beans taste like home-made. The peach fried pie was amazing!

Food was over priced and ribs were dry and had no flavor, will not be going back. The sides sucked and I think they made the ribs in a crock pot! Was expecting better.

Girls at front counter were really nice. Bbq sandwich was decent. Ribs, scalloped potatoes, mac n cheese and sweet tea tasted really old! Days old! We told them the tea tasted old. We were told it was made that morning. We said you may want to check it because it tasted funny. He just stood there for a minute looking at us and then sarcastically went over and took a drink. He never said a word after that. They handled that very poorly.

We only had the fried pies so I can’t speak to the taste of the bbq. The pies were good, we had blackberry, peach and chocolate peanut butter. We asked them to heat them up for us. They’re greasy fried pies… Not much else to say. They’re really good with some ice cream on top.

It’s ok food but waay overpriced. A sandwich, small side of not so great cole slaw and a tea, set me back almost $ 11. I like the fried pies but they aren’t warm or fresh. There’s better food in town, just maybe not as conveniently located to the highway.

I went with the Rib plate and thought they were better than average. Not the greatest but pretty good with nice smokey flavor. The plate came with 2 sides and I went with the scalloped potatoes and dill potato salad. I’m not a potato salad fan really and this was really good. The potatoes were excellent as well. All in all a good BBQ joint. I would definitely come again. I’ll try the brisket next time though.
