Yellow Cab

I would give 0 stars if I could; not even worthy of a star. Called at 11:15 and said it would be 10 – 15 min. Arrived 45 min later, admitting that he took another call because he couldn’t get into the apartment’s gate. However, he never called me to tell me he couldn’t get in. So I was just sitting there waiting and would have continued to wait, has I not made a second call. Oh well, not a big deal, luckily I wasn’t in a huge rush.
Then he drove exactly 1.3 miles (I know because I mapped it) to my destination. He had no meter running for the drive. When we arrived, I asked the total and he told me $ 10! No NYC traffic, not even a stop light, and it took 5 min of his time– not to mention he was late. (Just for comparison, the cost of this trip in metropolitan NYC would have been $ 5.50.)
Bottom line; If you need to take a cab, go with Post Cab Co. (I called them first but they were busy) or any other Taxi company. Do not use Yellow Cab. This is the first time I’ve written a review for them, but it’s the second time I’ve been ripped off. The other time was in 2012. Use them only if there is absolutely nothing else available, but exhaust all other measures first. They have a reputation of ripping off Soldiers. Good luck!
