Disclaimer: I volunteer at the Haywood Habitat for Humanity ReStore, so I’m biased! I’m sorry a past reviewer found the volunteers lacking. I won’t make excuses, however will say that we take our volunteer jobs seriously, and even more so the Habitat mission. She is most likely right that our prices on housewares and other small things do vary. Not our intent, and if you think something might be mispriced or much more than a similar item, let us know! We have been in the new store since the end of March 2015. We are still getting settled and welcome new volunteers either at the store or the building site. Come join us! I love being a volunteer at the ReStore! Great mission and great people!

This location just opened down the street from«Del-Ray’s»(re: see my review); I believe that this is the only store such as this in town, unless the one right off of Main St. in Waynesville is still open. O.K., some prices are fine, some are terrible. Look carefully at your glassware– we discovered a crack in something we almost purchased. They also have: books, mags, VHS tapes, knickknacks, lumber, odds and ends for home repair, furniture, lamps, washers, dryers, appliances for food and bodies, more obscure appliances for renovations/tough jobs, and even toilets. I even saw cold water being sold. The problem is the volunteers that help out there. One lady cleaning off books was totally in the way of an entire section, which means no sales in that department. Another gentleman felt free to walk in front of me as opposed to behind me while I was trying to read book spines. That did not encourage me to purchase anything in that section either. When I asked the manager if she could come down on the price for a cracked appliance, she replied in the negative with a pricetag runaround. I understand if that is company policy, but if not… damaged items should still be priced fairly. Would go here again for kicks, but not for quests.
