Beautiful Business Websites helps small businesses and entrepreneurs establish or upgrade their business image, whether it’s through a website, blog, social media, or graphic design.

We create websites for restaurants, therapists, construction companies, landscaping companies, professional organizers, cleaning services, yoga studios, dance schools, music schools, recording studios, salons, accountants and bookkeeping, municipalities, attorneys and legal services, musicians, consultants, and many other types of businesses or establishments — just to name a few!

History

Established in 2014.

Beautiful Business Websites (formerly Sonare Design) was created by me, Lauren Brown. Although I am based out of Waynesville, North Carolina, I work with clients all over the United States.

I got into website development around 1994 and maintained a popular free font archive for over a decade. I even have some fonts I created that are still floating around the internet — the Lauren C. Brown font, for example.

Back when I got started, we were allowed a little over a megabyte of website space from our local internet provider. Then, things got really exciting when Geocities came out and offered an impressive 2 megabytes of space. How times have changed!

To this day, I still enjoy the puzzle of putting together a functional, attractive website, in consideration of contingency planning, simple task management, and whomever will be updating and maintaining the site.
