Business was founded by Ernest Nickles on June 15, 1925. In 1946 Marlen Poe operated the funeral home until 1972. In 1972 John S. Snyder, Jr. operated the funeral home until he sold to the current owner Paul T. Lochstampfor in 1992

We had a terrible experience with this place when my father passed away last year. The owner’s wife was cruel. She admitted she has no compassion because she is a business woman. First of all, Dad’s death certificates were stuck in our screen door when we got home one evening. Despite the fact that my father had plenty of life insurance, the owner’s wife, Angela Lochstampfor, screamed at us on the phone that she paid for my father’s cremation. We were quoted one down payment and a couple days later, it was doubled. They got all of their money in a timely manner but because of this discrepancy, we were treated like second class citizens.
