Walsh’s K9 offers affordable classes to address a variety of your training needs. Locations Berkley, Ferndale and Westland. Private in home training 6 days per week. Canine Temperament Testing, group socializing classes and leash handling classes.

We host training seminars and present demonstrations on our training techniques for large groups, rescue groups, businesses, schools and much more.

History

Established in 2010.

Walsh’s K9 is owned and operated by Animal Behaviorist Brian Walsh. Founded in 2010. Walsh’s K9 gladly provides services all over the state.

Brian is an animal behaviorist first, and a dog trainer second. He knows from first-​hand experience the difference dog training makes in the relationship between dog and owner. Without professional training it can sometimes be a frustrating relationship, but with an investment in good training a wonderful transformation will occur.

Brian has been working with dogs and their owners for many years and there is nothing which satisfies him more than to see a happy dog and a happy owner. Walsh’s K9 emphasizes the importance of early socialization, understanding Canine body language, simple solutions for predictable behavioral problems as well as basic household manners, Our training methods are set apart from all the rest as we train using our Demo Dog Jake who is a very calm and very obedient demo dog.

My name is Brian Walsh and I am a graduate of Animal Behavior College where I earned my certification as an ABC Certified Dog Trainer. Animal Behavior College (ABC) is approved by the Bureau for Private Post secondary and Vocational Education and is an internationally recognized school. My year long commitment to this program has provided me with a formal education in canine obedience training and understanding behavior and its motives. My certification, education and experience provide me the skills required to effectively and humanely train your dog while keeping alive the spark that makes your dog so special to you.
