Specialties
Our expert staff, comprised of certified framers, professional artists, interior decorators, photographers, and woodworkers approach every job, big or small, with high level design and keen attention to detail. We specialize in finding the fine art and beauty in everything, from precious objects such as World War II helmets, uniforms, antiquities – even wedding dresses – to your first attempt at watercolor, or your child’s latest piece of art. Bring it in, we can frame it.
Because we are artists ourselves, we make it a point to support our fellow community artists whenever we can. Every First Friday of the month we host a new First Friday Art Show and Reception, held in the same spirit as art galleries across the Philadelphia region. We began this tradition in our gallery in 2006 and continue to feature the talented artists who live and work among us on our dedicated First Friday Wall. We also offer special pricing for artists who choose to frame their work with us.
History
Established in 1977.
The Great Frame Up in Wayne has been locally owned and operated on the Main Line for over 30 years. We began as a do-it-yourself style shop, where customers could choose their frame, matting and glass, then assemble the elements on site. As the demand for full-service framing increased and the number of DIY customers decreased, we phased out this feature and dedicated ourselves to full, hands-on customer service, maximizing our space and staff to take on more specialized projects.
Jim DiBrino, also owner of The Great Frame Up in Malvern, began revamping the Frame Up in 2007, retaining long-time staffers and attracting new talent to the family, including Pasha Sourbeer (manager, CPF). Our two longest-standing framers, Susan Silverman (15 years) and Alida Haslett (13 years), continuously inspire staff and customers with their dedication to their craft, passing on their wealth of knowledge in design, conservation, and 5-star customer service.
