The best, just hand down the best Chinese food in the area, when I have better I’ll delete this post. Indonesian rice and garlic pork, are two of my favorites.

I started coming here about a year ago, food is decent enough, though the tap water tastes minerally(I usually bring my own). Yesterday will be my last visit. They clearly were understaffed, which my coworker and I understood, so it did take awhile to get someone to take our order — food came out surprising quick — but then it took us calling someone(again) to get the check. We were splitting the bill, ½ with credit card, and I was paying cash. I took the bill to the register, asked for $ 1s(for the tip). There were people behind me waiting to pay, so I moved over so I wouldn’t be in their way. While I was counting out money to leave a tip on the table, the hostess/cashier loudly stated that I didn’t leave a tip, and pointed to the table. I stated(loudly back) that was why I asked for(f*ng) ones. I put the tip on the table(which I HOPE went to our waiter, and not her), and left. There are too many other options in this area for me to give my business to, I will never be back after that treatment.

Great food several years ago but disappointing now. Can someone tell me what happened? Maybe a new chef? Maybe economic constraints? Food now just acceptable not exceptional. I used to love ordering from here but now I go rarely just for some variety and not worth going out of the way, as it was before. Have had tofu with dried chili peppers for years but this time got only a few small cuts of green peppers along with the bite size deep fried tofu. In the past in true szechuan style the dish would be swimming with toasted dried red chilis. Also the small bits of garlic and ginger which I was accustomed to in the dish are absent. Yet another dish I will not order again. Same with the noodle in minced pork sauce, which used to be tasty and complex but now taste like packaged oriental noodles. Don’t recognize the people working there either. Did they change ownership some time ago? Would love to hear recommendations for any other good Chinese food in the area? Reading some of the reviews, it sounds like Ping Wei and Han Dynasty might be worth a try. Saw a photo of snow peapod stems on the Unilocal listing for Ping Wei, a dish difficult to find. Best place I know in the area currently is Oriental Pearl, which is pretty good.

Dined here for lunch yesterday and they messed up my order, brought me part of my order and never brought me my rice. I ordered sautéed eggplant in a spicy garlic sauce which was ok. I pointed out to the server that he messed up my order and thought he was going to bring me the correct order however that never happened. They billed me for an entire meal though. *dead face stare* I may go back for one more try.

I enjoy szechuan Chinese food and love the spicy but this place disappointed. We ordered Dan Dan noodles which in my past experience with other restaurants usually come first but we got this last. The noodles were overcooked and something about the flavoring was off. The eggplant garlic sauce dish was nothing special. We also ordered Chicken hot pot and shredded pork which I thought both tasted decent. I favored the shredded pork over the chicken hot pot. What really ruined the meal though was the rice. I have no question they served us day or 2 old rice(dry and hard) mixed with some newer overcooked rice(mushy and clumpy) and tried to pass that off on us.

Came to the shopping center to have some Panera as a quick lunch and discovered this place right next to it. The appetizer(spicy beef tendon) and entrée(spicy boiled fish) we ordered were quite good and the taste was authentic albeit a bit oily. Definitely did not expect it from a random store next to a Panera in a random plaza. That said, if you are ordering deep fried food or pot stickers(and that’s absolutely fine if that’s what you like) then this is probably just not the correct place for you. Similarly, if you are expecting great service this is also not the place for that but I rarely rate for service unless it was disastrous.

Wondering how this pace got 4 stars. Food was just ok. Oily and greasy. The owner was rude. Demanded a 20% tip. Never eating at this place again.

Long time customer but lately their cooking has been inconsistent. The flavor on same dishes changes from good to over sugary and over salted. Most of the time there is way too much salt in the dishes. Hope they correct the dishes by requesting feedback from customers.

Not sure why all these people are claiming it’s authentic. It just tastes like mall Chinese food to me. Very greasy, oily, and deep fried. The staff was very nice though, and I did like that they brought me a pot of tea right away without even asking. Prices are very cheap too.

I am addicted to the Mai Fen Spicy noodles, but EVERYTHING here is absolutely authentic Chinese and everything I have tried I LOVE especially the Sour Cabbage And Shredded Pork Soup which tastes like it has lemongrass in it. When I drive North on 202 coming home from work whenever there is a backup getting on the Schuylkill I call ahead take the short trip off 202 pick up dinner and head back to traffic

It was just okay. It was packed for lunch so I was expecting it to be amazing and it was just satisfactory. I agree with another review, a little pricey for what you actually get. Oh and the customer service was horrible. The cashier«reminded me to tip» I had to politely correct her and tell her I left the tip on the table… who does that? My waiter was also rude and hasty. I wouldn’t come back.

Ping Pong, where have you gone? When you opened the food was really stellar but over the last 3 visits things have gone downhill. A favorite among many is DanDan noodles. No longer is it a Szechwan red sauce loaded with minced garlic, red chilis and everything else it is known for but comes with a black oddly flavored sauce, looks and tastes nothing like the dish of old. When I questioned the server he said this is the new way it’s being made? What? The tofu with minced pork was practically flavorless except for the swimming pool of chili oil that it was drowning in. Also this is another dish that uses the same sauce as Dan Dan noodles. Pork sautéed with scallions and black beans and chicken sautéed with dry hot pepper were disappointing as well. This used to be our favorite Asian restaurant in the area but the chef change has definitely hurt the quality here. Bring back chef Zheng!

I work in the area and typically do lunch here every week or two. The no frills cafeteria style space is almost always very busy with a significant Asian customer mix which I always consider a solid endorsement of its authenticity. Ping Pong offers all the usual US favorites like sweet & sour, General Tsao’s etc but I’d recommend you forget all that stuff and delve into their spicy hot pots, fried chicken with dry chili peppers, soups and other unique dishes. You won’t see any of these items at other King Of Prussia Chinese restaurants who typically sell all the usual sweet, MSG loaded stuff. Service can occasionally be a bit hit and miss and you might occasionally have to aggresively seek your check but it’s no big deal unless you’re in a real hurry. Ping Pong is totally worth checking out if spicy Chinese is your thing.

Ping pong is ping wrong! I don’t understand how this place has a 4-star rating. Platters are overpriced and served in smaller portions compared to my usual take out place. Decided to try it out for dinner tonight since we always just walk by when we’re in the shopping center. We ordered 1) steamed dumplings 2) shrimp, scallops and calamari with sizzling rice cake 3) beef chow fen and 4) kung bao chicken. Our seafood dish contained NO calamari or scallops but were replaced with imitation crab and some kind of white fish. Beef dish looked dry and had 4 tiny pieces of meat, brought this to the attention of the waiter who gave an excuse of how it’s supposed to be all noodles, asked to put more sauce and meat, when he returned it looked exactly the same but now with a weird aftertaste. The only decent things were the dumplings and chicken. There are plenty of other Chinese places to go to so don’t waste your time here!

Got a hankering for general tso’s chicken after watching a documentary on it; not disappointed by this place. The chicken was very crispy with a great tasting sauce. The meat was actually whole pieces instead of reconstituted and it actually may have been white meat. The pork fried rice was tasty too and the spring roll had a great crispy texture. Service was nice and not overbearing. Portions were crazy big! I luckily had a buddy to share with. Will most likely go back and would recommend.

Was down in my hometown after visiting my brother over the 4th of July weekend. Before I departed from home here in Amishland and headed down Route 30 I checked out Unilocal to see if there were any legit Szechuan places around Wayne. This place came up. In general, Chinese places up here in Lancaster are bad. Too sweet and no style. I had recently watched The Layover on Netflix and one of the episodes was the Philly food scene. One part of the show profiled a Szechuan place down in Philly. I love spice done well. Philly is a pain with the parking and traffic so I was hoping that this place in Wayne was close enough to the Philly vibe with the convenience of not having the Parking Nazis in Philly slapping a ticket on the car or having to deal with the parking lots that extort suckers like me. I am very happy to report that the food was rocking. Not sweet, spicy. The Dan Dan Noodles were excellent and so was the Hunan Beef. I ordered the Twice Cooked Bacon in Spicy Sauce to bring it back to Lancaster. I have never had a bacon Chinese dish so I have nothing to compare it to but it tastes great. The staff were friendly and helpful. One of the servers was wearing an Adidas shirt that was all the rage when I was in junior high in the late 70’s. The management might want to consider the message attire sends. In reading some of the other reviews, details like this can diminish the food. Professionalism matters to most. Presentation is important. Not a big deal. But since I grew up on the Main Line, with its status and wealth, I know that what an establishment projects is important. I hate to see a good place suffer for something silly. I got home in a little more than an hour. I dodged Philly and found a great go-to place that is accessible and excellent. Working on eating the bacon dish now… the restaurant is generous with its dishes. Great food and a lot if it. Well done!

Walked in and waited. And waited. And waited. 12:30pm on a Wednesday. Busy dining room. Not a hostess in sight. Got a head nod from a busy waiter in the back but was unsure what it meant. Waited some more. Walked out. WTF??? This review is based on service. I had no chance to be greeted, seated or «eated». Sad.

Do you like food so spicy that it leaves you sweating like a sumo wrestler in a sauna? If not, xiao xin! This is probably not the spot for your Szechuan fix. They have a gringo menu and a more classic style menu. All the dishes will leave you clamoring for a water refill in the most delicious way possible. My favorite is chicken in classic style, a stir fry consisting of chicken, bamboo shoots, bell peppers, mushrooms, and a massive quantity of whole dried chili peppers. Yowza!

All the food was bland and very greasy, I can deal with that since its a generic Chinese place. However, my Kung Pao chicken was so undercooked it was still completely pink, I can’t deal with that. I called the restaurant back to see if they could do anything to fix it(I don’t know? Deliver me another one? Refund my card JUST for the Kung Pao?). Nope. Just wanted my name and phone number and they’ll «give me another next time». I spent $ 37 for two meals and fried dumplings. They can keep their«next time» food, I’d rather spend a few more dollars and get PF Changs.

My orientation seems to have opened a portal to the West, and I have found myself driving through and around Wayne, Pa. recently. Nice area. Last week I decided to slow down and smell the chili. Found Ping Pong on my trusty Unilocal mobile guide, and stopped in with son of mine for dinner. First impressions were positive. Clean, bright, colorful, smiling faces, pleasant aromas. We took a table along the wall and as I looked around I realized we were in a Chinese spice shop where the dishes would be measured in fire alarms. My favorite cuisine, but not necessarily in my 13 year old’s wheelhouse. He loves Dumplings, so we went with an order of 6 fried. I suggested we get Dan Dan Noodles so he could begin to appreciate the more gentle side of the firescale. He was game for the Hunan Spicy Beef; a good, adventurous call. I picked the Deep Fried Chicken with Dry Pepper, basically a spicy fried chicken dish he could assimilate. All were very good to near excellent. The Dumplings were perhaps the least interesting with a heavy dough shell, but well ground pork, and nice dipping sauce. He actually left one behind. The Dan Dan’s were a big bowl full of thin noodles and a hearty pork sauce that completely covered the noodles beneath. I had to add extra Sesame Oil to reach the desired heat, but my son was happy with them as delivered. All gone! The Spicy Hunan Beef was the best of the bunch — tender sliced beef in a mid-range Hunan brown sauce, Broccoli, Green and Red Chilis and a few other veggies. Very good. The Chicken was slightly hotter and quite tasty, but not the«chicken inferno» I had anticipated from other Szechuanese joints. Still, just right for the initiat. Service was timely and cordial. The majority of the customers were Chinese, but no one seemed to mind two round eyes in their midst. Besides, we both knew how to handle the chopsticks with aplomb. All in all, an enjoyable repast, and one that I would certainly entertain returning to on one of my increasingly frequent trips west. A very nice find, indeed!
