So glad I decided on George to come clean my chimney. He is such a nice guy and an honest businessman. That’s rare to find these days! He gave me honest advice in regards to a smoke issue I was having and didn’t push any unnecessary services or products on me. Will definitely be sticking with George in the future for any chimney services I may need!

As others have noted, George is a truly stand-​up, honest business man. He gave us an excellent price on our heating flue liner replacement as well as some exterior chimney masonry work. He was on time, very helpful with our town inspections, and polite throughout the whole process. I highly recommend George for any chimney needs.

PSE&G was here yesterday and thought there may be a problem with the chimney. I called George in the morning and he was here by the afternoon. He inspected the chimney and it turns out there is nothing wrong with it. He did not try to sell me something I did not need AND he did not even charge me for coming to look at it. I highly recommend him and will call him in the future when needed.

I called George after reading all of his great reviews on Unilocal and wasn’t disappointed. He came on a Saturday (huge bonus in my book), was really cool, thorough, didn’t try to sell us anything we didn’t need, resealed our roof around the chimney (at no extra charge), and gave us a new customer discount. Also, he took credit cards on the spot (not having to write a check is another huge bonus in my book). He gave us some good, realistic advice, and I won’t hesitate to have him clean our chimney yearly from now on.
George is definitely one of the good guys.

If you need any chimney related service, contact George. He responded to calls and texts in a timely manner and was prompt for the appointment. He did not try to upsell any services, in fact the opposite. Definitely gave an honest opinion and took the time to explain the process and how things function.
By the way, I asked him specifically about those flyers for very cheap cleanings, etc. and he said — generally– it’s marketing to get people in the door and then the business will try to sell you more services. I was weary that I would be overpaying for someone who specializes in only chimney work, but it couldn’t be further from the truth.
Feel lucky to have found him; hopefully, you will too.

I recently received a home inspection report from a buyer I was selling my house to and was requested to make some chimney repairs. The company that prepared the inspection for the buyer wrote up a quote I felt may have been high and for some unnecessary work. George came out punctual on time did a thorough inspection of my chimney wrote me up an estimate for half the price and less work and told me to tell that crook to take a hike. I would highly recommend George if you have chimney issues or need an inspection he’s very honest friendly and has reasonable prices with quality work and material, he bailed me out by just being honest.

Our neighbor was using George to install a chimney pipe. I just happen to ask him if he could take a look at ours as well. He was more than helpful. He came over and did an inspection of our fireplace since we just bought the house. He even did some minor fixes to our chimney cap as a customer service gesture. He is completely honest and tells it like it is. He is not out to take advantage of anyone. I will definitely be recommending him to anyone who needs a chimney service.

Just like those previously reviewing, I’ve got nothing but great things to say about George.
Found him through Thumbtack and realized very quickly he’s an honey, professional, and responsible guy. He’s not a crook and won’t rip you off at all. He was honest with us, letting us know we didn’t need a new liner as our initial home inspection had said last June. An easy opportunity for him to make money he passed up, due to us not really needing to do it.
Since then, he’s given my wife and I invaluable info about fireplaces, wood, and operation. He just did another annual chimney cleaning for us today.
George is a great guy and loves to talk about what he does. He’ll answer every question you have, and is a perfectionist (which I am a huge fan of).
I’ve recommended him to a few people already, and will continue to do so. Can’t speak enough good about him!

Listen, there are plenty of people you could hire to do your chimney inspection and most will probably tell you that you need more work that you really do, because they know that YOU don’t know squat about chimneys. Then, when they do the extra work that they up-​sold you on, they’ll use chintzy materials and do a half-​assed job.
Not George.
What separates George from the pack is his honesty. He won’t take you for a ride and try and sell you a job that you don’t really need. This guy treats his customers fairly and will give you his 100% honest opinion of what your priorities should be as far as any potential additional services. Plus he’s punctual, friendly and personable and his prices a very reasonable.
I highly recommended George The Chimney Guy to any home owner in need of a Level 2 Chimney Inspection and any other chimney servicing.

Recently called George for a quote to inspect my chimney on a new house I just bought before I fired it up this winter.
