Hans is a contractor that calls you back, does what he says he will do when he says he’ll do it, and most importantly does professional work.
We have a one hundred year old Victorian and have been renovating it over the last thirty years. This is our second roof that we have put on and Hans solved some problems from the previous roofing company. His team did an excellent job on a tough roof.
We have dealt with a lot of contractors and Hans is the rare professional who runs his company like a real business. We are currently talking with him to do some additional renovation work as well, and ultimately repeat business is the highest compliment I can pay him.
Additionally, my wife liked dealing with Hans as he took the time to explain details and didn’t try to talk over her head like many contractors we’ve dealt with.
He had great references as well. Roofing Wayland was an overall great hire.

These guys are fantastic. Hans runs a very professional establishment. We had 4 contractors come and give us estimates for our roof and interior work, and while there may have been others who were cheaper, Hans and his team were able to get the job done in the timeframe we wanted. He certainly was less expensive than 2 others we had quotes form, but sometimes the cheapest option, doesn’t have a reputation to match. Hans is very personable, his team was professional and he was respectful of our property and our home. He’s also a pleasure to work with. I’d highly recommend him to anyone looking to get the job done RIGHT and in a very very reasonable amount of time. He did my entire roof (we have 2 skylights and two chimneys on a 100+ year old house), two rooms on the interior and replaced a their very difficult window, in 4 days. Yes, folks, that’s right 4 days! #contractorforlife

Ok, So after hoping our newer home could withstand the brutality of this years winter weather, I was forced to have to deal with the water coming into my home and the massive ice dams that were responsible.
After calling multiple roofing companies all around, Hans Peterson and his Wayland based Peterson Remodeling and Roofing company agreed to come out, on a Sunday for what was quickly escalating into an emergency situation here.
He had initially explained that every company, including his own, was completely out straight for almost two weeks at that point, BUT, he’d be there.
When he and his 4 man crew arrived, he explained to me every aspect of what they were to do, allaying my concerns regarding some horror stories some had mentioned to me involving some other, less skilled and experienced ice dam removal jobs.
Not only did they get the job done relatively quickly, I was pretty impressed at the efficiency of this crew going from one section to the next, clearing the massive chunks of ice, all while carefully protecting the surrounding gardens my wife and I worked so hard over the years to plant and maintain! They covered and protected the external heat pump and even cleared all the gas and water line areas! Unexpected and highly appreciated.
When all was said and done, I fully expected the price to be astronomical for the amount of folks involved, and the time they needed for our weird shaped, multi leveled roof etc, but was pleasantly suprised, once again, by the number.
After, while cutting the check, he took the time to point out all the water damage issues that could go unseen, and made sure to stress the importance of the removal and replacement of insulation spots and electrical assessment. Needless to say, at this point, we knew we had found «our guy» to handle getting our house back into order. I cannot recommend Hans Peterson, and his Peterson Remodeling and Roofing company highly enough! Dormer work, roofing… tiling…decks. This guy and his crew are top shelf and do it all!
