Dr. Barnett maintains the highest levels of accreditation and pursues ongoing education to stay abreast of the latest trends in dermatology. Dr. Barnett is Board Certified in Dermatology.

Dr. Barnett graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1979 where he recieved his Doctor of Medicine degree. He did his internal medicine training from 1979 — 1980 at Rush-​Presbyterian-​St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago and did his dermatology fellowship at the University of Cincinnati from 1980 — 1983. He started private practice in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1983. Dr. Barnett also mentors medical students and dermatology residents in training from the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Dr. Barnett is a member of the Wisconsin Dermatological Society since 1983; a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology since 1984; and a Fellow of the American Society for Dermatological Surgery since 1989.
