Holiday Inn Express & Suites Wauseon

This place is really nice. Great pillows! Wifi is ok. 42″ LG prolly the biggest selection of channels I’ve seen. They accept CLC and there is parking for Semis across the street at the shell truck stop.
The free breakfast was a standard hot breakfast nothing over the top. But it’ll do.

Don’t forget to close the bathroom door and turn the vent fan on so you lessen the chance of setting the fire alarm off when showering.
This hotel was a wonderful sight for my road tired eyes. Clean and newly renovated. Glad I stopped here.

Stopped here after driving most of the night from Chicago. Room was great, clean with no weird smells. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room. Maybe I was just lucky but the room felt more like an apartment than a hotel room. Due to the late night arrival the price was extremely reasonable. Over all a great place!

A good place for a quick night’s stay right off the Ohio Turnpike. Modern room, comfortable, and quiet.
The breakfast was good and overall, a place worth staying 3 ½ hours east of Chicago.

This was a very enjoyable stay. The rooms were very nice looking and clean. The breakfast is pretty average; don’t expect hot breakfast dishes. This is a good spot to stay outside of Toledo if you’re visiting more isolated areas such as Lyons.

My husband and I had to travel up to Wauseon/​Delta this past weekend to attend his Great Aunt’s funeral. While we were there, we needed to stay an additional night. So we figured that we would see what kind of rate we could get. Let me just say that this hotel is SOOOO much nicer than the Best Western Del Mar MOTEL next door to it. (We stayed at the Best Western Del Mar on Friday night.) Yeah, talk about modern versus a 70s kinda feel. We stayed Saturday night at a pretty decent rate of $ 99. That included a king size bed, and a very clean room and bathroom. Very comfortable too. The bed was extra comfy with your option of a soft or firm pillow. A cool thing about the pillows were that the pillow cases had the words ‘soft’ and ‘firm’ stitched in them. The bathroom was super clean and very modern. Our room was on the first floor with the pool/​jacuzzi just across the hallway. We didnt have any problems connecting to the internet on my hubby’s laptop either, which made it nice. On Sunday morning we had a continental breakfast with juice and coffee. Very nice.
I’d recommend this Holiday Inn Express to anyone who may be up in that ‘neck of the woods’.
