Established in 1950.

Phil’s parents, Philip A. and Mary Lou started a general antiques business as a hobby in the 1950’s that became a sterling matching service in the 1980’s. It has now grown to the largest sterling matching service in the Midwest. We are still a family run business today.

Business Owner

Phil Dreis is the owner of Antique Cupboard. He began working with his parents in the late 1980’s and became the owner upon their retirement in the 1990’s. Phil travels to about 40 antique shows across the country every year and is one of the foremost experts on sterling flatware in the country. Phil recently wrote the second edition of the book «Warman’s Sterling Silver Flatware Value & Identification Guide».
