Safe-n-Sound Movers

Had a terrible experience with Safe-​n-​Sound Movers. I booked them through U-​Haul for a pretty good rate. When the morning of the move came, Chuck called me shortly before he was supposed to arrive and told me that his other mover failed to show up. He was going to find another guy and come up to help.
So we just started packing without them. When the movers finally arrived, 2+ hours after they were scheduled to arrive, my brother-​in-​law and I had already packed up a whole trailer load. Chuck and his guy proceeded to move the rest of the stuff, but not with any urgency.
Then, as they were moving my sleeper couch out, one of them dropped their end and gouged the front door (steel). They pretended that they didn’t notice, but they obviously did because someone (not I) tried to clean up the scratch/​gouge to no avail.
We finally got everything moved and to their credit, they did unload very quickly. I was unhappy about the door, but didn’t think it was too large of a deal, until my landlord called very upset. She said that it was going to take some repair and that the funds for it were going to be coming out of my security deposit.
I called Chuck back to find out how he would like to settle the problem. He asked me to send him pictures which I did. After that, I never heard another word from him, despite numerous attempts to contact him. I would not recommend this company to others looking for moving assistance. In my experience, they were unreliable and ended up costing me money due to their negligence. AVOID!

They worked like rave horses without taking a break. Ensured the unload was performed smoothly, safely, and carefully. They went above and beyond their call of duty.
