Worst place to buy a car. My daughter and I went to buy a car, African American rep was checking my daughter out. We bought a car, and drove it home. and next day got a call saying we were not approved unless we came up with more money. I went in very upset and found a very rude guy yelling at me saying are you calling us liars!!! And get out!!!
You are a $$$ to them and don’t care to treat their customers good. I will never recommend or come back here ever!!!

Found a car I like a lot.
But when I discovered something that needed fixing, before I bought it, they said they would fix it. When I came in to do the paperwork, I asked again, and they said they’d fix it. Halfway through doing the paperwork for the loan, I stopped and said, I haven’t gotten a confirmation yet that it will be fixed. He said, don’t worry, they’ll take care of everything. Do you see what’s coming? After all the paperwork was signed and the deal was done, THEN they said, yeah, we’re not gonna fix it. You’ll have to pay for it, and it will cost $ 500! The best I could get was them «splitting» the cost with me, so the repair cost me $ 260. Bait & switch, all the way.
They also told me the keyless entry key fob wasn’t working because it would charge from driving, there was no battery in the fob, and eventually it would start to work again. 20 seconds on google showed me that of course it takes batteries & I took care of it.
I was also told that a search for a loan would only result in one hard pull on my credit score. Tonight I checked –there are 10!!!
I do like my car… but the dealership was dishonest, misled me, and didn’t know what they were talking about. Go in with your eyes WIDE open, and get every little detail in writing before you sign.

Very happy with customer service. Stuff was very helpfull with the whole process of buying the car. They did what other dealera couldnt do. I love my new mazda :)))

I had a great experience with Tony and Paul last week when I traded in my Honda for a brand new CX-​5. Tony was very on top of his game and was great communicating through email and text to accommodate my busy schedule. The test drive was ready when I pulled in, just like they promised. I was questioning myself with the colors and features on the car I drove originally and Tony had about 10 different cars brought up within minutes to make sure we found one I’d be totally happy with. Thank you Tony and Paul!!!

We just bought a new Mazda 3 from Rosen Mazda. It was a great experience beyond all expectations. The sales manager Paul was not only funny and professional, but also was able to provide the best quote in greater Chicagoland, significantly beating all the runner-​ups. It’s rare for dealers to stick with their quote and he did exactly that. Umair was also outstanding. My husband is a professional negotiator, but even he appreciated the no-​frills process, straight-​up internet quote, and outstanding service. Financing with Joe was quick and painless. I would recommend them to my closest family member without any hesitation.

I have been going to this dealership for years. I have bought at least 5 different cars/suv’s and every time was pleasant. Omar, Pauly and Brian are the best to work with! They make everything straight forward and easy. They really go the extra mile to make their customers happy and want to return! Thanks guys!!!

Do not buy a car from here. They sold me a car with a bad transmission and said they did not know. It was a used car and needed some work done before I could drive it off the lot. The work was the breaks, the strut and they said they shaved down my rotter’s. They said they fixed it but a week later my transmission went and so did all the things they said they fixed coincidence, yea I don’t think so. So now I’ve had to sink another 3 grand into a car I didn’t have that initial money to sink into. They said they had no idea the car had that issue with it and tried to tell me they fixed what they said they did. However I went and got it looked at and the mechanic said that the work they said they did was not done. And more than likely they knew about the transmission.
I get when you take used cars onto your lot you don’t know what the previous owner may or may have not done but to sit there and have a car give you issues a week after your buy it outright is not good. My advice is to steer clear of them, they will not sell you a good car. Oh and the kicker is the GM asked me to bring the car I bought from them (the one I’m reviewing about) and my new pick up truck in for trade so he can put us into two new cars. UM hello you just sold me a bad car why would I buy two new cars from you and also trade in my truck that has no issues.
Do yourself a solid and look elsewhere for better cars and better customer service.

I researched both the new cars and the dealers before deciding what and where to buy for a member of our family. It came down to a Mazda 3 and then the on-​line reviews pointed to Charles Anderson, the internet salesperson at Rosen Mazda. The reviews were correct. Charles was prompt to respond to my inquiry, polite, low pressure, and gave me the best price for the car. He got the car ready for me by the next day. I would certainly recommend Charles at Rosen Mazda if you are searching for a new car. He made the experience very easy.

I’ve dealt with many dealerships in the past, from internet specialist, salesmen, finance managers, to even the owner. Personally bought about 8 new/​used cars in 14 years. out of 7 others and in about 1 week he won my business. He gave me the best deal on a spanking new 2016 Red AWD CX-​5 w/​tech package. He didn’t just win because he gave me the lowest price, but because he was honest, answered all my question truthfully, played no games and really worked hard to earn my business!
The day of delivery, the finance manager, beat my own financing I brought in and everything else went smoothly. Did not feel like I got ripped off, or regretted anything. They were all very honest and didn’t try to sell me anything I didn’t need. If your looking for a new Mazda, I highly recommend Rosen and Charles Anderson!

I hAve nothing negative to say about my experience at Rosen mazda in Waukegan. I was shopping with my nineteen yr old daughter for her first car, and we were fortunate enough to wander into Rosen at the end of a stressful day of car shopping, and met Jujuan our salesman. It was a relief to deal with a guy who was just so easy going and personable, yet so willing to find us a perfect car using every tool available to him. We never felt rushed or hounded, and he wrangled an incredible deal on a 2005 Nissan Altima with less than ninety thousand miles, for $ 7400.00. It was by far the easiest and least stressful car buying experience I have ever had! We need to find another used car for my youngest daughter, and trade in for a new car for my husband and I this year, and I have every intention on going back to Rosen and Jujuan to complete these sales. I was surprised to see that there had been so many negative reviews about this dealership, and all I can say about it is maybe they just had the wrong salesperson to begin with.

So saw an ad for a 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse with 80k miles for $ 8500 was kind of thinking too good to be true but rosen is a reputable dealer cant be fake. I was wrong.
I call them at 1:00 PM to confirm car is there the guy says yes it is we will have it ready for you when you get here salesman I talked to on phone was named Henry. Than I get there at 2:15 Henry shakes our hand and quickly puts us with a young kid looks barely 18 and he says sorry car just sold but I have this car to show you instead. At that point I just walked out and brought my business elsewhere.
LIED on the phone and wasted my time. BAIT N SWITCH. BUYER BEWARE !!!

I wanted to test drive a 2014 Mazda6 so I went to the closest dealer to my home 3.8 miles. Rosen Mazda. I saw a car that I was going to compromise on but that is history now. Bottom line is I will never deal with Rosen. I was treated rudely at their Honda dealer. That is another story. So we get rained on as we walk in. It is torrential. We stand around for 10 – 15 minutes and no one helps us so my father and I just walked out unnoticed. While in the dealer frozen and soaked we noticed on the wall an award for excellence in customer service for 2008. Now I understand why they don’t have one for 2009-​12. I wrote them about this experience on their Facebook wall and what I wrote magically disappeared. Odd isn’t it?

TERRIBLE customer service. We got the run around so many times. I gave them a deposite and I wanted my deposit refunded and it took them two weeks for them to get back to me. HORRIBLE communication. We wanted numbers — how much we would be paying monthly apr etc. We were told it would be emailed to us that weekend — it never was. We decided we were tired of waiting and went to go back to our money. We told the guy who we worked with that we wanted our money back and he said we would get it in a week. TWO WEEKS LATER I called to see where my money was and they said that it was JUST submitted. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!
I’m so ANGRY.
Terrible cars too. Not enough options. Prices were too high too.

Interaction with Sales Person (Omar) was great but when the numbers got ran their were some discrepancies. Price being negotiated was total MSRP which included destination fee only to find out that the destination fee was tacked on to the final agreed price. I pointed it out the next day and it was corrected with some hesitation. Ultimately it turned out to be a good deal but I definitely had to scrutinize the bill of sale and stay firm about the discrepancy.
Got called back a day later due to forms not being filled out properly. Sounded fishy but turned out to be legit. They filled my tank so at least there was that but one too many admin mistakes to fully recommend this place.
All the people there were super friendly though and feel that most of the issues seemed to be an honest mistake and made sure I left mostly satisfied.

I use Unilocal almost daily to READ reviews, but never had an experience wonderful or terrible enough to become an official user to WRITE a review. Until now. Like most people that walk into a dealership, I felt anxious. I had mentally prepared myself the whole drive there — expecting to deal with your typical cocky salesman. Wrong! My boyfriend and I walked in greeted by our soon to be salesman, Omair and the manager Frank. They were both very friendly, and surprisingly struck me as down to earth genuine dudes. My boyfriend and I let him know we were interested in an Altima that we saw on their website. We sat down with him to view the car online along with other possible options there and at other Rosen locations, as I had something very specific in mind and knew I would have few options with my budget and other circumstances. The car I originally wanted was at another Rosen location which I didnt realize when I found it online. Omair had no problem driving with us to check out the car. When we arrived at the dealship, I test drove the car and fell in love. He told me if I wanted, I could follow him back to the dealership for an extra long test drive. I agreed to it, and decided on the way that it was a winner! When we got back to Waukegan, we spoke more in detail about the car and the price and made everything official. Frank and Omair made me feel completely comfortable about the whole car buying process from the very start. Brian walked me through paperwork and was happy to explain everything in detail… he didn’t even seem a bit bothered by my million questions about financing! All in all, this was a great experience (yes, that’s right, a great experience at a CAR DEALERSHIP)! I would recommend Rosen Mazda to anyone and everyone interested in buying a car. As long as Frank and Omair are around, I’m a lifelong customer!

I would avoid this place like the plague, unless you like stereotypical car sales come-​ons and tricks.
The initial salesman, Jimmy, was very nice and our dealings with him were pleasant, but once it got to the sales manager it all went downhill. They promised to beat any other offer. They didn’t.
They quoted us a price, then reneged.
Let the buyer beware!
