History

Established in 1969.

It was in early 1969 that Mr. Matthews, a native Chicagoan, first established Matthews Professional Employment, Inc. in Waukegan, IL.

Mr. Matthews recognized a growing need within the Lake County area for a full-​service staffing firm that could consistently provide local employers with talented candidates.

46 years later, we are grateful to be the longest-​running, privately owned employment company currently servicing northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin.
