CYOC Create Your Own Cheesecake & Cheesesteak

Tried this place a couple weeks ago after always passing it on the street and this restaurant is a GEM! Not only is the food amazing but the staff is soo nice! They helped us pick the perfect cheesecake four our tastebuds. We sampled so many and they were allllll sooooooo gooooodd!!! The cheesesteaks were well seasoned with the perfect amount of cheese. And the macaroni bites those were just sooo good. You need to try them! The only reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five is because I’ve only been there once and have only tried a few items. Will definitely be back!

The cheesesteak here was one of the beast cheese steaks I have ever had! So many options! The cheesecake was so delicious! The cheesecake is made all in house and there are many flavors including Oreo cheesecake, red velvet, carrot cake, white chocolate and so on. Price was very good for the quality of food you get!

Been here several times over the last year or so. Really a fan of there Cheesesteak! Always fresh bread and meats … really hits the spot! Also It’s worth a try to have the Cheddar Ranch Fries, these are a must have when I go to CYOC!

Best Cheesesteak Ever! Friendly service, the Mayo sauce is BEYOND mouth watering, so good I take the Mayo Sauce off my husbands fries and eat it. Lol
Their fries are seasoned perfectly. The Cheesecake is very Creamy, I’ve tried Reese’s, Oreo, and Cookie Dough all DELICIOUS! VERY ADDICTING and AFFORDABLE! :)

So I tried this place bc
had a $ 10 certificate. My first impression was not great as there was no parking in the front lot and someone had blown up the restroom :-/​. Not that they can control either of these items.
The young lady at the counter was an absolute doll and helped me with my order since it was my first time. I ended up with the steak deluxe and cheese fries. The sandwich tasted pretty good but the fries were REALLY salty. Not really hitting a home run in my eyes.
Now about the cheese Cake!!! It is amazing. They «scoop» the filling from the best cake ever! I got the cookie dough and would recommend it to anyone!
In closing I would return for the cheesecake but not the food.

This place is incredible! The food is fresh and innovative. The cheesecake concept of being scoopable is extremely unique and delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant!

My daughter and I went to CYOC today and had the King Philly Steak & Chicken and the Chicken Philly. The King Philly was more superior than the Chicken Philly. The King Philly had great taste and dripped more in taste and juicy goodness. Some would call the drippings oil/​grease but I call that flavor. Don’t get me wrong, the Chicken Philly was good but the King Philly were better. The French fries were ok as well. My only complaints about the place is that it needed to be a little more cleaner, the music was too loud. The bathroom was clean and updated. There are three other restaurants in this plaza so parking could be crowded.

The first thing I noticed was the seriously friendly service! Right when we walked in, my boyfriend and I were offered a sample of the house made cheesecake (it was amazing) The cashier greeted us with a smile and took our order. The food was fresh and tasty! You would imagine a Philly cheesesteak would be super greasy. This wasn’t that at all. The bread on on the sandwich was soft and didn’t fall apart. I recommend the #4! Steak, onions, banana peppers, jalapeño peppers, lettuce, tomato, the famous mayo, and cheese of your choice! Perfect amount of flavor, freshness and crunch. Finished our meal off with a scoop of strawberry cheesecake. Perfect. Will be back.

Fast and tasty. I had the chicken works which was great. The kids liked the Philly with cheese. The create your own cheesecake was fun. Will stop again if in the area.

…Were from the city and came for a show at the Genese theatre and stopped here because it was the only restaurant with decent reviews nearby. Better and cheaper than Phillys best in Chicago or anywhere I’ve been.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE… whether you’re in the mood for a delicious philly cheesesteak, chicken strips, or a yummy steak burger, you can’t go wrong. I’ve tired it all. I never feel guilty after eating here like I do at most fast food restaurants because I know everything is QUALITY. Oh and I can’t forget to mention North Chicago sells breakfast. I think I’ve become a Sunday regular, they remember exactly what I order. Now that’s customer service.

I tried the works philly cheesesteak, and the fries. The fries just floored with the taste and texture. I am a fan now. The cheesesteak was as good as everyone else has described it.
I need to come back to try the cheesecakes. I will definitely go back multiple times.

I would have given 5 stars for my fav place but their scoop size is now smaller. I so love my cheesecake here! I hope they are not cutting costs by cutting portions.

So I’m here in the area just visiting for work and a coworker recommended this. So I ordered some cheese ranch fries and a chocolate chip cookie dough cheesecake and some other meals for the office. They delivered it to the office, their min is $ 15. The delivery driver was very nice and personable. I took a bite of my cheesecake and WHAM! My eyes were opened and I could see color! This muthalova is delicious. I couldn’t stop eating it. I kept scooping for more like a crazed animal until I reached the bottom and a tear rolled down my cheek. I highly recommend this place.

Now, it’s not a super fancy restaurant but it’s very good for the price and for the area! The cheesecake is good, the cheesesteak is good, and oh my goodness the fries! I have no idea what kind of seasoning is on their fries but it is the best. I really would like to know what kind of seasoning they put on their regular fries because I need it all the time for everything haha.

I love this place. I have to admit when i get to Waukegan I always try to make it my first stop. The service is great, I’ve never had complaints but the food is what i go for. The steak and cheese is sooo mouth watering that I always wish i had two though 1 is more than enough.
It’s my go to cheese steak place and when I’m in Michigan i have dreams of it lol.
Oh yea the cheesecake is a cute idea and they have some delicious flavors to choose from. I love this place i hope they open more of them. Can i suggest Detroit? ^_^

Love the cheesecake here, I always come in for that but end up getting a Philly cheesesteak too. You have different flavors to pick from and you can sample before making your choice. Fair prices and good food options on top of the cheesecake. Good service, and nice spot to stop by for lunch or quick meal.

I’ve been coming here for about 3 years. This is a great little fast food joint that doesn’t get enough credit.

As I walked in the door on my most recent visit (yesterday) I was greeted with «Hello would you like a free sample of cheesecake?» Of course I said yes. I had the caramel, and it was incredible!
For my sandwich I ordered «The Works Philly Steak» with provolone, and it was one of the best steak sandwiches I’ve had. It was loaded with fresh veggies, and I love the rolls they use.
This place is great. It isn’t always convenient for me, but it is worth the drive!

when browsing new restaurants in the area. As someone who grew up half their life in Philly, I was excited to see a new Cheesesteak in the area. Unfortunately, I am about 35 minutes away from this place but after eating here for the first time a week or so ago, I have been back three times since then. Let’s just say this place is unbelievably good.
As someone who knows a true cheesesteak, CYOC passes my cheesesteak inspection and that is not easy to do. Their food is to die for. And, I’m dead serious about that. I am actually ready to drive up there today to get a cheesesteak. It makes my mouth water just thinking about it.
Prices are excellent as well. About $ 6 for a cheesesteak and another $ 2 for a big side of seasoned french fries and a drink. Their fries are amazing as well. Oh, and so is the cheesecake. I don’t think there is anything on their menu that I don’t absolutely love. Even their nachos is amazing!
Not only is the food and pricing excellent but the service is always friendly and welcoming. This place is absolutely exceptional and I highly recommend CYOC to anyone within the general area. If you are a half hour out like me, I would still recommend you take the drive to experience this for yourself. You will not be disappointed.
If I could, I would give this place a 6^th star.
