History

Established in 2014.

It all started with a small wheeled taco cart. We began getting small jobs with friend and family and soon we found ourselves working every weekend. this is when we decided maybe this is something we can do for a living. the decision had to be made when we started to get double booked and having to tell people we couldn’t do it because we only had one taco cart. what started as a we could cook for the family thing became more than one little taco cart could handle. So we bought two more. this was still not the solution. We decided to go into actual business in 2014 three years after we purchased our first cart. We changed the name of the company and renamed it The Ballesteros Catering Company. We now have moved away from the backyard events and stepped into a more formal scene. With more room to create in our giant kitchen we have left the taco cart behind. but don’t worry he is still around and is always ready for the next Taquiza.

Meet the Business Owner

Mario B.

Business Owner

I am born and raised in Watsonville California. I graduated from Watsonville high school in 2003. While i attended Watsonville high school I participated in the football program. The football program helped me maintain my grades. Academically I always tried to challenge my self, i was given a choice to join a academy within our school. so i chose to be a part of the BATA academy. The Business Agriculture & Technology Academy. after high school I attended Monterey Peninsula College where I studied criminal justice and digital graphics and web design. Cooking for me has been a life skill more than a learned skill so to answer the question how did i pick food as my profession. It picked me as it should be. Do what you love.
