PUMP’d is Santa Cruz County’s first indoor inflatable fun center featuring over 9,000 square feet of bounce houses, inflatable slides, an obstacle course, toddler’s play area and private party rooms. Parties are what we’re all about. We also offer weekday drop-in play time as well.

History

Established in 2008.

PUMP’d seeks to redefine FUN in Santa Cruz County by providing a fun one-stop-shop indoor entertainment center geared toward children of all ages. Our dream for PUMP’d is to be a destination for today’s energetic children and busy parents.

We offer a variety of choices for parents who are looking to spend time with their children. If you are looking to have a party at PUMP’d, our packages are structured to accommodate many different budgets and party needs. As the parents of twins, we know the many challenges families face when trying to create a memorable and affordable party. We, as Santa Cruz County natives, quickly discovered there are few options for indoor family entertainment and recreation in the area — Outside of the Boardwalk, naturally.

I am the new owner of Pump’d and I am enjoying getting to know all the wonderful children and their parents. Having five children of my own I know the importance of being able to take my children to a safe, clean, entertaining facility. That is exactly what I strive to provide here. It is my intention to grow the business and offer classes, Parents Night Out, Family Fun Nights and open it up for bigger events as well.

Oh my gosh! What a fun experience! Although I reside in San Diego, I make a trip to NorCal on average every 6 – 8 weeks, and we will definitely be returning. We basically had the place to ourselves for the entire duration of the our stay, which was great because we had free reign of the place and were able to let our littles roam without worrying about bullies or unsupervised children. It’s not great because I want this place to be around for years and I think they deserve more business than just our family!
It was a perfect fit for my 3.5 year old, maybe geared to those slightly older than my 1.5 year old niece, and definitely not a match for my 7 month old. No big deal, I didn’t expect it to cater to non-walkers. However, that is where I could suggest slight improvement. I can’t complain too much because my littlest is free, but it would be nice if they had an area specifically targeted to those under 1. Even if it’s just a small section in the toddler area. My favorite thing about the indoor «gym/play places» in SD is that they always have a non-walker area that I can put my youngest down (in my line of sight) and play with my older one. My final issue was just that the door to the street was open, which I totally get makes for better air circulation, but I don’t like worrying about a stranger potentially snatching my child if I have my back turned for a moment. I did appreciate the owner letting us know that the door was open and that if we saw any unsavory characters, she’d be more than willing to close it. Great customer service! It really was a great experience overall! And just for the record, I did beat my younger, much more in-shape sister the first time through the obstacle course! Woot woot!

They don’t allow kids to have drinks inside and have to go out to the lobby to drink. Not safe for kids. They complain about spills but the business is about kids and kids make messes. Replace carpet with an alternative that is kid friendly!

Whoever thinks this place is dirty. Or not as good as it used to be. You are crazy!!! This place is always clean. I absolutely think you don’t need wifi and need to keep an eye on your kids. The amount of lazy parents who let their kids run around and break the equipment is outrageous. Take responsibility of your kids and follow the simple rules. Keeping food in the lobby prevents sticky messes off the equipment! Love this place and we will be returning more often.

Used to be better.
This place must’ve changed hands recently. We used to pay significantly less to get significantly more. Now the price per child has increased 33%, while amenities have been dramatically decreased. There are now fewer jump-activities, no tables for parents to sit at, no more public WiFi, no more games or prize machines, and NO food or drinks allowed during open-jump (the vending machines have been emptied and disabled).
Kids get thirsty. Kids get hungry for a snack. Kids enjoy playtimes more with snacks. Parents enjoy playtime more when they have a comfortable spot to sit, keep an eye on their kids and chat.
Bottom Line: People will stay longer when they’re having a better experience. When they stay longer, they will feel they got a good value for their dollar. Our kids got thirsty and hungry quickly — as per normal. We used to be able to give them a snack and a 5 minute breather — and they’d run back out for another hour of jumping and play. But now they want to leave sooner… and that $ 8/kid just doesn’t feel worth it any more.
We were told there is no WiFi because, «We need you to be watching your kids.» Ok, whatever. I realize that they want to limit spills and messes with food in the main hall. That’s all their prerogative — but when you take amenities away, decrease the available play structures and increase the price — my bet is business will drop significantly. Ours will, at least… and judging by the number of kids playing when we were here (ours were the only ones), I’m afraid revenues may already be falling.
My advice, if Pump’d wants to keep its doors open, is to increase what’s available to kids and parents, so that they’ll have a better experience and stay longer, and feel that they’ve gotten their money’s worth. The extra cost you’ll incur vacuuming and occasionally cleaning your carpet will be well worth it.

It’s ok. $ 8 a pop for each kid (3×8 = $ 24)
Not many choices in town for kids to have fun besides the park or movies.
They can use a better variety in the video games. I agree with everyone else’s comments when it comes to staff supervising «other» kids. Some can get a little aggressive while playing and yes, some parents DON’T care who their kids run over. Major accident/hazard waiting to happen. Probably why they make you sign the waiver before you go in, owners not responsible! That explains it. Watch your kids parents.

I guess it is a good place to take the kids and allow them to run and go crazy while you simply seat there and wait for them to get tired and want to leave, which would never happen! The place is nice and has what the children sure ant, but I cannot write a positive review about this place just based on the fact that kids would definitely love it!
I work for the amusement industry and I simply cannot avoid being critical of places like this. There are lots of things that common sense would tell anyone this place is not managed appropriately. The cleanliness of the place is bad; the carpet is dirty and many of the inflatables seem like need to be thoroughly cleaned as well. While the children are playing around, there is no supervision from the Staff there, and I understand parents should supervise their kids, but not all parents are very good at telling their children to follow the rules. There are several safety hazards throughout the place like loose extension cords across the walking areas, improperly secured inflatables, broken power outlet covers and others. There is only one Employee visible throughout the facility, which is the young lady at the front. I mentioned to her that a few kids had tripped with an extension cord and she simply said «OK. Thanks». That gives me the impression of lack of training so I can’t imagine how she would respond in an emergency.
When visiting an amusement facility or family entertainment center, safety is often not the most important thing on the visitor’s mind, therefore it must be for the business owner; sadly, it is either lack of knowledge from the owners on the subject or lack of training. Or could it be simply carelessness?

Great, safe place to take the kids. Four big bounce house structures and a room for toddlers. Air hockey table and a few other mechanical type games. Good for kid parties or a place to take your kids on rainy day. Clean bathrooms, plenty of parking.

I like this place! We have been here for birthday parties and free play. The 7 buck admission for kids and free parent isn’t bad either! They have several large bounce houses and a tot area as well. Parents are encouraged to play with their kids and they bday room is cute. Parking is a lot behind the building. I hate that it’s in Watsonville but at least its something that’s not over the hill!

Just went. This place was fun but dirty. The carpet needs to be cleaned. There was an extension cord sticking out of the toddler area. The vent in the ceiling of the toddler area has about 5 years of dust on it. Most of machines were not working and stole our quarters. On a positive note, the bathrooms were tidy.

This place was great! We came mid-week and the place was practically empty. My son had a blast (and me, too!). Based on the good Unilocal reviews, we drove from Salinas and it was totally worth it.

Love pump’d. Prices are great, the place is clean. My only wish was that staff montiored the play areas better. I appreciate they let parents jump as well (for free) but some parents ignore their children and allow them to bully other kids or literally run over them. I have watched this happen many times and finally intervened! Its not even my child. The staff needs to monitor the older children or hold the parents accountable. Once I did complain, as my small child was trampled repeatedly in the toddler section and the manager apologized and offered us a free pass to come another time. Overall its a great place and I appreciate having an indoor, clean place to take my son. Donl’t forget to bring socks for everyone! Including the adults since no shoes are allowed in the play area. They do sell them at a reasonable price.

You are never to old to bounce! This was our first time here and definitely not our last: we came to Pump’d for a birthday party and I was impressed with how well organized everything was, the friendly staff and the cleanliness. I love that adults can join in on the fun and bounce, slide and get a great work out at the same time! Looks like my daughter will have her birthday party here!

We spent the morning here today with our 2 year-old. I had high expectations based on the reviews and my experiences at other bounce-house facilities (in Kansas City). Yes, the place is clean, and my child had a blast. BUT, there was NO supervision by any Pump’d employee in the actual facility. In fact, the only employee I saw was the girl taking our money at the front desk. I personally threw a young teen out of the toddler room as he was sprinting into that room during an apparent game of «tag» that was going on. I saw kids diving into the middle of the climbing structures from the sides (prohibited according to the posted rules), and if my wife weren’t with our 2-year old, he would have been knocked over, landed on, or worse. There were kids diving over the partitions of the slides to get back in line, 9 – 12 year olds were running throughout the facility while dodging the toddlers and their parents, older kids were shoving past the younger kids who were trying to climb up the ladders to the tops of the slides, and in general the energy was escalating into pure chaos when we finally decided to leave. Maybe it was a bad day at Pump’d, but they should absolutely have somebody monitoring the actual activities in their bounce room. They need a referee with a black and white striped shirt and a whistle to maintain order in this place, otherwise we probably won’t be back unless it’s for a private party where we can keep the rough-housing down to a minimum ourselves. Too bad – it’s a great concept, but I would only recommend it for kids 5 and older who can fend for themselves, and even then, maybe not so much…

I have been here with my 4 year old a few times and he has had a blast everytime he has been there. It has two great jumbo slides which are tons of fun and some other great jumping areas. It is super clean and the staff is always very informative and friendly. It has never been overly packed when I have been there and it is a great price. I felt very safe having my son play around in there. We are planning many more Pump’d trips in our future.

I have to admit I was hesitant to check this place out. i was afraid it would be dirty and there would be a million kids running around without supervision. I was pleasantly surprised! It is really clean and in good shape. My daughter had a TON of fun and we’ll defenetly be going back. It’s great because they allow the adults to go on the equipment too, so if your child is a little nervous about it, you can go along with them (although it is quite a workout!)
I would highly recommend this place to let your kids get some energy out, well worth the $ 7 admission fee!

I LOVE this place! I have a 11 month old boy, and we have taken him here a few times already. Even though he’s young he loves the bounce houses, slides, and especially the toddler area.
Also, it’s CLEAN! That’s a huge thing for me and my spouse, since we tend to lean on the OCD side.
