I’m glad I found Jorge’s, and will continue to bring my shoes to him, rather than just dumping them at Goodwill. I’m finally at the point in my life where it’s worth it to buy better shoes and maintain them, and I think that shoe repair is a lost art that should be kept alive! I’ve had 3 jobs done by Jorge’s: resole of brown synthetic boots, polishing/re-coloring of Dansko clogs, and complete recoloring, resoling, and polishing of black leather ankle boots. The prices are very reasonable for the work. All 3 pairs of shoes were unwearable before bringing them in, so paying $ 15-$ 40 per item was well worth it at $ 100 price points for the originals. Jorge’s work is very good – I like the new soles and new colors. My only complaint(if you can even call it that) is that he’s not SUPER detail-oriented. Like there are little edges left around the new rubber soles. And the laces he chose weren’t the same as the originals. Small stuff. I may not bring my brand new knee high leather boots here if I want to be super-de-duper picky. Overall, good prices for good work.

I have been coming here for years and Jorge has always come through for me. His business is a one man show so be patient with him! I have had many pairs of shoes repaired by him and his work is top notch and very high quality. I highly recommend this place for anyone who needs an expert Cobbler who charges very reasonable prices!

I will«rewrite«my review for this place since the halfwits at Unilocal filtered my other review. Unilocal must have a room full of miserable morons who do nothing but take down real reviews from real customers. I have use Jorge twice now. Yes… both times there were some frustrations with how he runs his business. It would be nice if he answered the phone… or at least have a recording of his hours. It would be nice if he could be counted on to be there when he says he will be. This is the hard part… his hours are not posted… and this is annoying to be sure. BUT…the work he does is very nice… very affordable… so I cut him some slack. I’d rather put up with Jorge than to pay that clown in Aptos at A&B the obscene charges he wants to charge. So…if you are patient… and willing to overlook Jorge’s shortcomings… he does nice work for a fair price. NOW…if only those nitwits at Unilocal will leave my review up it might help folks wondering about this business.

I was very dissatisfied with this store. Although I had read the other poor review, I had a very simple and quick shoe repair, so I figured I’d try the store anyway(because the location was convenient). Bad choice. When I dropped off my shoes, they were unable to provide me with an estimated completion date… which was a little ridiculous. I left them with my phone number, and they called four days later when my shoes were repaired. When I came in to pick up my shoes, they searched the store for about ten minutes, then told me they couldn’t find them. Pretty unbelievable. I had to come back the next day, at which time they had finally found my shoes. Very, very disorganized.

My mother was kind enough to take my beloved Frye boots here to get resoled recently. They did a good job on resoling the boots, however there were a couple major problems. First, they promised the boots would be ready after one week but my mom went back an additional 2 – 3 times to pick them up and they were still not ready. I think they should have called us and told us they were not ready so she didn’t have to go into work early multiple times. Furthermore, my boots got re-stained and now they are a completely different color. We did not ask for this at all and I don’t like the new color. This still makes me upset because it was not requested and I cannot replace these boots because I bought them in 2007 and they are not available anymore. Like I said the re-soling was done well but be careful they don’t do anything else to your shoes!
