I receive my eye exam from an outside optometrist and purchase glasses from Shopko because they offer a great selection for reasonable prices. The staff at Watertown’s Shopko Eyecenter are always helpful and friendly. With one exception! They are much too forceful in trying to sell upgrades to the lenses. According to my doctor’s prescription, I do not need bi-​focals. Yet, even after my «no thank you,» the saleswoman persists in trying to sell me expensive progressive lenses. I’m talking about repeatedly going back to her sales pitch 5 – 6 times in a 15 minute period. I feel this is not only rude, but also disrespectful to the customer. This becomes such a pain that I’ve walked out and bought my glasses elsewhere.
