Rental of Vespa & Yamaha Scooters (Mopeds):

Vespa GTS250ie, Vespa S150, Yamaha Zuma 50, and Vino 50 available for rent. Daily rates, hourly rates are on our website. Learning and touring packages are available to negotiate. Service by appointment, with pickup available in Watertown, MA. Extra fee for delivery within Greater Boston Area.

Storage:

We provide winter preparation and winter storage!

History

Established in 2012.

Scooter Mutter, is simply a play of words and translates from German as «Scooter Mom» to show that we aim to provide gentile, prompt and caring service to our customers and their bikes. We are family owned business and my wife and I became strongly dedicated to promoting two-wheeled transport and fun bike related activities in New England area. Our general background always revolved around service, additionally we have been previously involved in people transportation, so naturally, as a source of income, we decided to start with providing motor bike transportation services.

For me riding started when I was 14 years old and got my first 50 cc moped. This was a very exciting moment of my life. Since then I have done many things and operated different vehicles of all shapes and sizes, including the iconic Harley motorcycles and some fast sport bikes. I recently re-discovered scooters in June 2011 and immediately fell back in love with these adorable and convenient creations. I never rode my ’93 CBR as much as I ride my Vespa now. I take this thing anywhere — it is truly a perfect city bike, also capable of a little country touring!

I enjoyed helping people as an EMT and liked interacting with customers as a limo driver, but unfortunately these jobs had quite a few draw backs.

Never-the-less, this training taught me the importance of customer service, as well as proper, careful and thoughtful approach to any task at hand.

Konstantin is awesome and went above and beyond for me. When I replaced an aging Vespa LX150 with a brand new GTV 300 I was left with two motorcycle-class scooters at home.
The LX150 still ran well but has little to zero resale value and I am not really enough of a mechanical hacker to want a 2^nd vespa around «for parts». I can’t really «give» or «gift» it to someone because it requires a motorcycle license and all the other associated stuff to keep it legal.
Konstantin was the solution. He did a long distance transport (~200 miles one way) and delivered the LX150 to our weekend camp in western maine. Long distance transport is not something that ScooterMutter really specializes in but Konstantin was willing/able and the price was reasonable given the time and distance involved.

Can’t say enough good things about Konstantin — he is knowledgeable, very courteous & communicates exceptionally well. He has towed my Honda Shadow 600cc twice — once when I was broken down at Neponset Circle in Dorchester — arrived when he said he would and took care of what was a stressful situation. He is honest — his rates are reasonable and I wouldn’t consider having anyone else tow a motorcycle in the Greater Boston area.

Found these guys via google search. I liked that they advertise their prices online, it was very helpful. I emailed them in the evening and got a response the next morning. We set up a time and destination. Price was lower then I anticipated at $ 126 to tow my honda VT1100 shadow from Waltham to Andersen Cycle works in Framingham. Tobias and I loaded my bike onto their trailer then he strapped it down and was off. I would recommend them to my friends.

I had to get my vintage BMW motorcycle towed to and from the service shop. Naturally I needed a professional with the right equipment and attention to detail. I looked up ScooterMutter on the net and gave them a call. Both Konstantin and Toby were very professional, very friendly, on time, and most of all had an appreciation and understanding for the care in handling that a bike owner expects from such service. I did appreciate the fact that they made stops during the trip to check on the straps and make sure my bike was secure. They are now my go-to bike towing service and I would highly recommend them to anyone. Thanks guys.

Rented a gts250 Vespa from these guys and the scooter was in great shape! They even delivered and picked up the scooter when I wanted them to! They provided us with helmets as well. All in all the entire process was seamless and painful. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
There is no other way to explore boston than with a scooter!

I used their services to tow a large (1400 cc) bike after moving. Setting up the pick up was very straightforward. Konstantin arrived within 5 minutes of the time agreed, even though my bike was at a 150+ mile distance. They took great care while loading the bike to avoid damage. Once delivered to destination they informed me by phone and by text. Very polite and good communication throughout!
Would highly recommend without reservation and will certainly use again when I need a towing service.

Only place I’m aware of that you can rent a Vespa. Family owned, easy to schedule, with choice of 50cc, 150cc, or 250cc Vespa’s. Ended up gettting the 250cc for a fall folliage drive. Highly recommended. They also offer towing services if you have you’re own bike/Vespa.
