Food was good. But place was packed. Waitress was not having a good day. The soda said coca cola and sprite but you can taste that it wasnt. The charged for drinks which werent worth it. But other than that great desserts and hot food will try the other location around dedham next time and see if there will be better experience and drinks.

Hi my name is Funmilayo and I am in Ms. Taryn’s class in third grade at the BTU school. Today I’m going to tell you about this wonderful buffet. One day I went there with my family for my dad’s birthday. We had an extraordinary time and the food was cooked hot and smelled like perfectly cooked chicken. We also had a special ice cream dessert. It had chocolate mixed up with vanilla ice cream with a cherry on top. I would give this buffet a 4-star rating because the cashier takes 5 minutes to get a receipt which is really annoying because we were really hungry. This buffet feels like a place where people welcome you. My favorite part of this buffet is that they make sure the kids have fun by bringing out cotton candy. They also have a stuffed animal machine. I like it because the room is really warm and the food is always the right texture. I like their waffle fries, fried chicken, and cheese pizza. I want to eat the food because their cheese pizza is super cheesy and melts in my mouth and smells like Subway sandwiches. The location of the restaurant is Watertown Mall, 550 Arsenal Street. You can call them at(516) 333‑2000.

As you would expect not really sure why I gave this a second chance the food is horrible BUT it is a great place for people watching… so the next time you find yourself sitting at this cafeteria fighting off the urge for a second plate of INSERTFOOD(all food here is not healthy so all are applicable) or fighting off an oncoming stomach ache, stretch back look around and people watch — this should keep you entertained and distracted long enough you either no longer hungry or sick.

Food here is hit or miss. They try to cater to everyone by providing American, Italian, Mexican, Asian foods. When you cater to everyone, you kinda cater to no one. I say this because you would have a taco bar, then next is fries and fried chicken, then after is pepperoni pizza… It has a little for everyone, but doesn’t hit the spot if you crave a type of food. my son LOVES it here and here’s why. He mix everything together to make his own food. He would put mash potatoe and corn in a taco shell, topped with pieces of prime rib. for dessert, he make cookie sandwiches. It’s a fun place for kids to eat their creations.

Not sure why this place isn’t closed yet. The food here is pretty bad quality and the price seemed to have gone up without much increase in quality. The servers here vary, there are a few good ones and some that rarely come to pickup the dishes. The selection is quite limited and seems to get worse over time. The only reason this place survives is the RMV is next door and their promotional kids night when the place is swamped with families with a 5 kids.

This isn’t fine dining folks. It’s an all you can eat buffet. If you have that in your head before going there, you will love it. Plenty of seating, plenty of food and it’s cheap. This is a fun place to take the kids or just a casual place to stuff your face.

Old country is old country. Been going to such chains since little. Typical american, all you can eat. Fried fish, corn, green beans, and grilled chicken is my go to plates x2 or x3 during a good day. To the point where I am too full to eat dessert, but it’s dessert so I must. To the point where I am physically uncomfortable. A ‘I’ll come here and there’ place.

Few stars for letting use online coupon. First thing for breakfast Sunday. No biscuits yet, employees sitting around walking eating. Management here doesn’t care about having employee be professional. Now on a toilet in the bathroom exploding there writing you this. Can’t trust food source and got tricked again. Management is bad

OCB used to be one of my favorite spots to go to but the quality of food over the years has significantly declined and I am afraid that OCB is no longer relevant to younger generations. Also, OCB used to be known for their cheap price, but that is no longer the case anymore. If you go here for dinner, plan to drop at least $ 20 for two people for some mediocre, unhealthy, and greasy food. I highly recommend avoiding OCB at all cost!

Generally poor quality food. Not much choice for vegetarians. It is way over priced. My son is 12 and I now have to pay for an adult meal and he generally only eats the pizza. We live locally but don’t even consider going due to the high cost for poor quality food. I would rather give my money to the Ale House across the street who offer kids eat free one night per week.

Okay… let’s get some things straight. If you consider yourself a restaurant connoisseur, why are you even reading this review? You don’t belong in or anywhere near OCB. However, if you and your friends can’t decide whether to get Mexican, Chinese, Italian, Southern, or Ice cream, why not get all of the above for only 10ish dollars. Low quality food? Quite. However two outcomes come to mind: full stomachs and good times. The large seating section makes it great for large groups and the judgement-free zone makes it easy to go up and get a second serving. And a third. And a fourth. And a fifth… And Ice cream. Leave your pretension and distaste for starch-based foods at the door. And bring pants that stretch ;)

Being from the south, I hold buffets in very high regard. This OCB, which is the only one I’ve ever been to, while holds sentimental value, was ultimately disappointing. The selection is fairly limited and much of the entrees are fairly unattended. This leads to crusty old food or food trays that stay empty. The quality of the food borders between gas station sandwiches and mcdonalds fries one day later. Breakfast is probably the best meal of the day so I would roll the dice then. You have been warned!

This franchise location of Old Country Buffet is an average incarnation of the national franchise. The dishes include Old Country Buffet’s standard assortment of «all you can eat» cuisine, including Italian, American, Chinese, salad, and desserts. Although the restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly, the environment is dimly lit and hidden in the back of a shopping mall with no outdoor windows. The dining experience thus leaves much to be desired, because one feels too«shut in.» Skip this location if you want a first-class Old Country Buffet experience.

Horrific! The food is absolutely disgusting. I came in here with a coupon, forgetting that we’d be charged $ 5 for our two drinks so it really wasn’t even a deal.(21 bucks for 2 adults) I grabbed a cup of coffee and the little cafeteria mug was cracked down the middle, spilling the hot coffee all over my hand/arm and the floor around me. I had a big salad and a little sampling of this and that– leaving each plate filled with food because it was just plain bad. Even their dessert was gross I had one of those immediate regret situations and felt sick the rest of the day. Never again!

Pleanty of FOOD and at a cheap price… I had the breakfast… withthe coupon for $ 5…juice was $ 2 bucks extra… again pleanty of food to choose from… But as I noticed while eating the food that I was consuming… did not taste right… It was as if it was fake… you can barely taste the quality of the food you are eating… any way thats my opinion…

Every once a while, I crave a buffet and OCB would be the place to go. Lots of variety of entrees here with steak, fish, along with the rest of the normal menu here(salad bar, fruits, Taco stand, and desserts). Priced at $ 12 per adult, you can definitely get your money’s worth here if you come hungry. Some of my favorite items here are the chicken noodle soup, their meatloaf I think is amazing along with their stuffing and BBQ riblets. Put aside all your prejudices about buffet/unhealthy places like this, you will enjoy the wide variety of food for a great value. You’re obviously not looking to fine dine if you’re looking at buffets but Old Country is an awesome place to just pig out and each what you want, how much you want, without people judging you, as hey everyone else here is here for the same reason you are.

I have very fond memories from my childhood days of going to eat at Home Town Buffet. I remember that the lines in So Cal used to go around the block for people who wanted to eat there. Well, this location in Watertown isn’t quite the same. While it has all the familiar fixtures of Old Country Buffets, the quality is really a hit or miss. They have great fried chicken, and the bread is always delicious. But their carvery meats are often overcooked or simply unavailable. If you enjoy buffets, you can still enjoy a meal here. Just set your expectations low.

Old country buffet is as I remember it from when I was a little kid, except the price increases. $ 11 for an adult dinner and an extra $ 1.99 for a soft drink, I went for dinner with a bogo coupon in hand since they’ve been having a bunch of offers sent via email. Fried goods, steak, turkey, ham, Mexican, Mac and cheese, rice and general gau’s chicken, sweet bread, corn bread, and plenty of salad add ons and desserts. Some things were new, others, classics. I filled my plate to my heart’s content but barely put a dent to all that food available. The food was mediocre but still enjoyable since I was in good company and The food was relatively fresh. The place had a good amount of people on a Wednesday night, so food was always replenished and hot.

It’s sorta hard to review this place. I’ve been coming to OCB since I can remember, probably dating back to the late 1990’s. I’ve only gone back once since 2002 and that was probably a year ago and then today. I didn’t seek out for it but went out of convenience due to timing and how things went. We went for lunch so the menu I am sure is slightly different than that of dinner. Nonetheless, if you take it for what it is, you’re actually getting pretty ok value. Think about what you’ll have for lunch anywhere else and think about how much you will need to pay, for the amount of food you’ll eat and you won’t be as disappointed as you might be, after all, this isn’t meant to be a classy 4 star restaurant. It’s an urban buffet place so you can’t expect the same higher standards like other places. My busser Alfredo was on targer with cleaning up the table and taking soiled dishes away. He definitely deserved a 20% tip — ok may be that was exaggerating a little. Who tip 20% on buffet anyways when you get your own food and stuff. But than again, $ 3 isn’t a lot either so hard to just give $ 2! lol. The food was ok. I think the baked chicken was the best. It seemed fresh and the meat was seasoned well. It literally fell off the bones. I didn’t try the fried one. I think i was trying to stay away from fried foods since I had the fried battered fish already and a couple of the Spring rolls. I’ve had worst spring rolls. at least these are still crispy which is good, as was the fish. The sweet potato halves could have been better — leave it in the oven for another 15 minutes so that it can cook some more. Add a little more brown sugar and cinnamon to bring out the sweetness. Still, like I said, you can’t really expect that here either. The salads looked pretty fresh and offers a variety of greens. I am amazed they serve cherry tomatoes so i think that was definitely a plus. For once, their fruits were good too, although I only tried the Cantaloupe. Sometimes cantaloupes could be pretty bad, especially if they weren’t fresh or left out too long but these were good and i am particular about them. That says volumes! The workers continuously fill the foods as they were getting near empty. Some places aren’t very consistent about that and may take awhile to fill the empty trays. I think they did a really good job on it. My overall rating is 3 stars because it really can’t deserve 4. I think if they offered more fruit options that is a potential. I went to see if they had boiled eggs and there weren’t any either. So yea, it’s a good place if you don’t expect too much.
