Mangia with Gigi & Mike

I love this place! We were regulars until we moved I miss their paninis and Gigi n Mike are sooo good they come over to each table say hello everything I tried here was good chicken francese chicken parm Marsala… I cud go on n on u won’t be disappointed

Great place. We come here several times for lunch and dinner. The staff is friendly and the service is excellent. The new owners always make it a point to ask how the meal was. Desserts are good.

We were big fans of the former Matteo’s, and were kind of let down when we saw it had changed hands. The new owners formerly ran the restaurant at Crestbrook, which we weren’t big fans of. The last time we ate at Matteo’s, it was actually during the transition and we could tell the difference in the food right away. We had ordered dishes that we regularly ordered in the past, but this time they seemed… rushed and tasteless. Needless to say we stayed away for awhile. But having heard some good things we decided to give it another try for lunch.
Service was totally on point, but more important… the food was as good, if not better than before. We ordered a prosciutto pannini, Caesar Salad and a bowl of the Pasta Fagioli soup. Pannini was amazing, seriously danced on my tongue like a ballerina. And the soup was some of the best we’ve ever had. Stellar. The salad was good but we didn’t like the croutons. No biggie really, just kind of a weird seasoning that tasted like powdered gym sock. Still though, pretty solid.
Overall we we super impressed. Glad we went back and are planning on dinner there this weekend. The new outdoor patio is also a big plus. Another local gem that just got a little bit shinier.

They made a cake for us for a party last month and it was awesome! We asked them to use mousse for the frosting and it came out great. We ordered on a Friday afternoon and were able to pick the cake up Saturday for a Sunday party. Very friendly, helpful and accommodating… and delicious — everyone raved about the cake.

I went here at the suggestion of a friend, and it was just average. The service was friendly, but a bit slow. The food we had for dinner was ok, but when I got my leftovers (I had a salad) packaged to go, they didn’t put a cap on the salad dressing container. As a result, on the drive home, dressing spilled all over the styrofoam container which held the salad. Dessert was just bad. We ordered a Boston crème cupcake. It was still cold from the refrigerated case where they kept it. The cake was dry, and the Boston crème was a hard lump in the middle. I go out a lot, but this won’t be one of my regular stops.

Sautéed Spinach with Sausage is Amazing. Friend swears by the Lobster Mac & Cheese! Be sure to save room for either the Carrot Cheesecake or Chocolate Bread Pudding Dessert.
