Fit Z’s Bar and Grille

This place has deceptively good food for a bar and grille. Recently, I have had the fish and chips and my son has gotten the grilled cheese with fries but frankly I have not had a bad meal here yet. It is bar food do not mistake that but it is good bar food and there ain’t nothing wrong with that!

Steak tip dinner never fails. All food I’ve had so far has been good. Half fried half onion rings is the way to go with sandwiches. Place is great for groups of four. Place can comfortable hold about 40 people. Plenty of TVs to watch the game. And they have KENO!

I just went last week to cure a hankering for some pub food and a Goose Island on draft, luckily, they were able to accommodate both of my desires. It’s not the best pub food in town, but the price is right and it’ll get the job done when you’re looking to fill-​up while watching a game. I had the buffalo fried chicken sandwich and was not disappointed. My wife had the quesadilla and was equally pleased with her decision. They also had at least a dozen different beers on tap and we’re not talking all Budweiser, Bud Light, Coors Light-​types either. They had two kinds of Goose Island and plenty of other more palatable beers. I’ll definitely be back for some cheap eats and great beer.

Great small local bar. Cold beers, decent assortment of draft beers, and great food. The wings and tacos are some of the best around. App and food deals throughout the week and weekend are a nice perk as well. They also have Keno. The only drawback is they aren’t open on Sunday’s.

Nice little bar. We got appetizers, and the entrees that came out of the kitchen look awesome — will definitely come back for them. Things are reasonably priced. Probably most importantly, the noise level is really appropriate — I m not quite into those deafeningly noisy small bars.

Been driving past this place for years and now wish I could make up for the lost time! Great sports venue — excellent food (love the steak tips!) — reasonable prices. What else could you want!

New to town and read a lot of the reviews on here, so I figured «hey, this is the SPOT!» By ‘spot’, I think of a strong-​pour-​grimey-​friendly-​dive bar.
Ehhhhhhh. Parking is crappy, but I’ve dealt with much worse. Interior says «dive», exterior says «dive» and bathroom says «gas station-​like». My drink was small and off, but I was served/​acknowledged quickly. There was a mix of older men talking politics, and random hipsters trying not to be ‘hipster’. There were no seats at the bar, but no biggie, I stood at the end. I was a bit disappointed. The food looked awesome (saw it come out! Nachos?! Yum!) but the atmosphere wasn’t what I was expecting at all.
I’m going to definitely give it another try, as it looks promising and I hope if I go on a slower night I’ll experience the crowd/​atmosphere I’m looking for.

Fit Z’s bar is a great little bar owned and run by local Watertowners. I feel so comfortable here. The staff alway wants you to feel welcome and serviced well. The staff and the patrons are so nice. People seem to know each other here and the atmosphere is relaxed. Great bar food. great selection of beer. Affordable at that! Lovely place to catch a game and be casual.

Awesome place.
Food is pretty good for bar food (we got appetizers) and the drinks are a fair price. Keno is fun and the big screen TVs are awesome for the current sports on at the moment. I had a good time talking to Derek the bartender and it was a very relaxed friendly vibe. I will definitely be back! This is my kind of bar.

The boyfriend and I live about a 10 minute walk from this place and we are huge, huge fans. We come here about twice a week, usually a monday or thursday.
The beer is sooooooooo cheap (8 $ pitchers)!! We came here for a few bruins games, celtics games, and we always have a good time The bartenders and servers have always been so friendly and fun to chat with.
This is definitely a «regular» kind of place on the weekdays, but the people that go here are always so nice, and always ready for some good small talk.
Also, the food is fresh, tasty, and they make a dang good cajun spiced chicken sandwich.

Want to get away from the college kids? Move out to Watertown. Done.
Want a low key bar with good food in your new neighborhood? Go to Fit Z’s. Done.
This is the new home away from home bar. Good prices on a good selection of beers (plus a full bar) and even better prices on some food that will remind you of whatever home you came from.
Any of the staff that we’ve encountered have been very nice. This also goes for some of the locals that probably frequent that place more than we do. If I ever leave Watertown for some reason, this will be the first thing I will miss.

Went here with some work people when we were scattered about Massachusetts because it was a middle point on the map. Pretty divey place full of locals who knew were definitely were not from around there. Everyone was very friendly and my group had fun chatting with the locals and learning about the area. The actual bartender was pretty friendly but the person coming around to the tables was slow. Quicker to just go up to the bar. For someone used to microbrews and a large selection, this was very limited and basic.

Another strong local neighborhood bar in Watertown is Fit z’s Bar and Grille. Locally owned and run by a few local guys who put out a great establishment for people to come drink and eat and hang out.
Inside you’ll find keno, golden tee video game, numerous big screen tvs and a bunch of great local sports memorabilia hung up around the place.
They have a decent draft selection. Your typical bud/​bud light draft, sam adams lager, sam seasonal, rolling rock (cheapest), few IPAs and others. They carry PBR tall boy cans as well. Your typical local Irish bar selections.
The food here is very good. They have some of the best wings in town. A lot better than Donahue’s and Conley’s. The boneless wings are the way to go. Hot Honey BBQ w blue cheese is the most popular along with the salt n pepper style.
The burgers are also very good. Always fresh and the toppings are always piled high.
They have daily specials posted on the wall. The Buffalo Chicken Quesadilla is very good and recommend that if they are serving it. They also make a pretty mean pub pizza as well.

It’s a great bar to spend a Saturday afternoon with friends and watch sports and just hang out and kick back.
If you live near by or across town def come check out Fit z’s. You can’t go wrong.

Came in here for the first time with my hubby and didn’t know what to expect. After explaining that we were «first timers» a local near us actually offered to buy us a beer and welcomed us to Watertown. Food was excellent, bartender was on point. Great little dive. We’ll be back here for sure!

Just moved to Watertown and found this little gem about a week ago! Fit Z’s is now our favorite dive bar — it’s clean, service is great (the bartender is a pro!), and the prices are just right. We’ll definitely be back.

I might be biased of this place because I’m now considered a «local.» But that’s what this bar is for, a local spot that has booze and TVs to watch sports. It is a dive, but I don’t mind. Sometimes the best bars are the dive-​y types. The service is always excellent here and food is pretty good. I’ve had the wings, quesadillas, steak tips, and tacos. They do not disappoint. The price is great too and every night they have something discounted. I love the fact it is steps away from my house, so this is a great local place.

Great dive bar, and when I say «dive bar,» I mean that in the most positive way, in the truest essence of what a dive bar should be: good prices, great food & drink, and a local, friendly collection of folks.
Derek is a great bartender, and even though I’ve seen him as the only person working the front of the house, manages to tend to everyone’s needs without any complaints.
I’m glad this place is about a 10 second walk from where I live, as I plan to frequent it often now that we’re also locals!

Holy Poop! the food is really freaken good. totally did not expect my chicken rice and vegetables to be perfectly cooked, i. e nothing was mushy, perfectly seasoned and super delicious!
Am definitely going back. I’ve heard great things about their chicken wings.
Its a sports bar, strong support for the local HS teams. cute townie place :)

We had a coupon for this place and that got us over there as we were unfamiliar.
The place is very much an old fashioned neighborhood bar n grill. Long bar on one side, tables on the other. All kinds of sports plaques and team pictures on the walls. Nice and traditional. Big tv’s on the walls. The owner waited on us and he was very friendly and attentive. I ordered a cheddar cheeseburger, and my wife got fish n chips. The food came out quickly and piping hot. My burger was tasty, perfectly cooked and on a nice fresh roll. My wife’s fish was light and tasty and there was a lot of it. The prices were very reasonable. I want to go back soon to try the chicken wings. They have a different special every night that is very reasonably priced.
Nice place to watch a game and have some food and drinks. check it out sometime, I bet you’ll enjoy it as we did.
