P-​Ker Engineering has an expertise in covering all kind of technical ceramics applications. We assist our customers from the product development stage through prototyping and testing, ending up with regular production. Everything done under one roof. We have unique capabilities in making practically all kind of ceramic parts, metallize, join them and glaze, if needed. Our customer base ranges from aerospace, chemical, medical, military, sensor up to any other application one may have need for.

Material range covers alumina, beryllia, cordierite, forsterite, steatite, zirconia and non-​oxides such as silicon carbide, silicon nitride, aluminum nitride. Custom tailored porous ceramics for medical and chemical applications. Ceramic metal assemblies for demanding sensor and high temperature vacuum applications.

Assistance in product development and testing from custom material formulations and design all the way up to finished volume manufactured parts.

History

Established in 1993.

The business started with engineering services for major ceramic manufacturing houses. Due to specific requests from variety of customers it turned quickly into a manufacturing place Since then we have been routinely making parts for medical applications such as PET scanners and brachytherapy. Variety of ceramic parts and custom metal –ceramic assemblies are being made for different sensor applications. Custom developed porous ceramics for both chemical and medical applications seems to be growing. We have been also making parts for military and aerospace applications including satellites and even parts for the most recent Phoenix Mars lander.

Over the years we developed comprehensive in house capability to make parts starting from powders (custom, if required) up to fully engineered volume manufactured ceramic parts and metal-​ceramic seals and assemblies.

We focus our growing efforts on the ability to be completely vertically integrated including development and testing.
