Always had a fine time. JV is a good guy. Took my mom for brisket on her birthday, and they were out of it, so he brought us out each a free serving of fresh bread pudding. Their specialty is smoked meat, so there’s a tip for ya.

My daughter wanted to grab a late lunch on Saturday. I wanted a beer, so we decided JV’s was the place. Blue Moon on tap, daily special was The Piggly Wiggly which was ham, bacon, pulled pork, cheese and mustard. Holy cow I had died and gone to pig heaven… I could not eat the whole sandwich, of course I was able to order the sweet potato fries…

Best wings i’ve ever had. Sweet chili sauce over a wonderfully smoked chicken wing. Yum.

Just your average bar with very opinionated older gentlemen surrounding the bar arguing with one another. Ordered a turkey club on the pretzel bread, turkey was cut thick but dry as was the bread. The sweet potato fries were good and the server was quick to refill drinks. Don’t think I would go back unless a group of people just wanted to grab a drink and an app to snack on.

We have been here quite a few times, and every time we are treated like family. They are a bar and grill, so the food is casual but good. I love the buffalo chicken rangoon appetizer. I usually go with the pulled chicken sandwich for dinner, which is smoked right out back. The staff is super friendly and the building is cool and historical. We have also held a couple events here, and Denise and Jeff have been wonderful and helpful.

Went for dinner on Monday night. Service was good, nice little place but was disappointed with food. The wife and kids had burgers which they all said tasted like the frozen patties you buy from the store. I got the barbecue sampler. From the online and actual menu the description of how they prepared it you couldn’t help but want to order it, especially if you enjoy barbecue a lot. It came with pulled chicken and pulled pork which tasted so dry, no amount of sauce would even begin to give it any moisture or make it any better. The pieces of beef brisket could be described as thin cardboard that was rummaged out of a house fire. The ribs, well, again dry but edible. Total bill was $ 50 and for the amount of food, it was ok. Mac and cheese and the baked potato were good. As were the french fries.

Great pizza! Great prices! Decent Beer Selection. Can be slow at dinner time with crowds.
