I was on the side of town and needed to pick up some groceries that I couldn’t get it at my normal store so I stopped here. This was the first time I have been to this location. They built the store a few years back and I never realize that it was a smaller than normal store. It reminds me of the one over in Waterloo on Ainsborough Avenue. They have a small mix of everything that you could need including a bakery deli meat counter pharmacy and then in one section of the store is a separate wine and spirits. Because it is a smaller store their selection that I’m used to at other locations was not there. So I walked away was still four items off of my list that I could not find at this location. Including to certain flavors of Amana summer sausage I normally get at the Cedarfalls store. They were out of the ice cream flavor that I wanted from blue Bunny. I had to compromise on the toothpicks and get colored ones because they were out of regular ones. Because it was 9 o’clock at night I didn’t pass by too many employees. One that I did pass by was the assistant manager on duty name Tim. I made eye contact with him said hello and all I got was a grunt. Not at all the helpful smile in every aisle. I finished finding the items that I could off of my list and went to the checkout. Tim the assistant manager was my cashier. He didn’t smile greet me or even say hello to me when I came up to the register. He told me my total with no please just 1498. When he did give me my receipt he did say thank you have a good night but again no smile or enthusiasm and I really don’t think you care if I had a good night or not. The store itself was nice and clean. And for being in the location that it is it is a handy nice store to have. I was sad that I couldn’t get everything that I had hoped to but I understand since it’s a smaller store they were going to have all the specifics. The employees here didn’t do anything to really boost the star rating on this at all.
