Established in 2013.

Genesis Studio Spa opened November of 2013. Since then, it has quickly become known as a quiet oasis on the top floor of a beautiful historic building, located on the shore of the Cedar River in downtown Waterloo, IA. Many aestheticians are part of a spa with other busy salon services. GSS is the one of the very few exclusive skin care studio spas with services by a single licensed aesthetician. It is a single room perfectly conditioned for body sugaring services. Clients appreciate the quiet privacy that full walls (no partitions) provide. Services are in a clean, inviting environment with its relaxing natural colors, plants, candles, etc. New services are introduced throughout the year to meet client’s skin care needs. Lyn T.

Business Owner

Lyn graduated from La’James International College with a degree in Esthetics and received her IA license in October of 2013. She is a wife, mother, grandmother and the business owner of Genesis Studio Spa.

Lyn specializes in phytotherapy, anti-​aging skin care and mature skin makeup applications. Her time between appointments is spent keeping current on all skin care topics, including natural skin care & makeup applications.

Her goal is to be known for mature skin care and especially mature skin makeup applications. She feels that women 45 and older are ignored in the makeup industry. Lyn hopes she can bring awareness to this large sector of the population, not only to have companies use more senior models and create more skin-​friendly formulas for older women, but also that makeup can be worn on mature skin in many beautiful ways with proper products and application.
