This A&W Restaurant shares a space with a Long John Silvers and is located right across from Crossroads Mall and Applebees. Easy to walk to it if you’re done with shopping at the mall and don’t want to get back into your car to drive there. Tons of parking spots to drive there, though. A lot, a lot of seating available. There are booths, tables, and bar seating. This is one of those restaurants where you take a number and place it on your table after ordering at the front counter. The staff will bring your food to you when it’s ready — which is good because it took about 10 minutes in order to receive our food. It’s a mixture between a fast-food and sit-down restaurant. No one in my party had ever eaten here before, so we were disappointed to ifnd out that there was a huge wall that blocked your view of the menu board if you were standing in line to place your order. This seems like a clear mechanical failure. People would have to wait until they were the ones who were standing in front of the register in order to see the menu at all — and it was clear that was an issue with how long it was taking people to decide what they wanted to order. A portable menu or placing the full menu on one of the sidewalls would help prevent that issue. I liked that I could order A&W or Long John Silver’s food, and surprisingly, the mash-up works surprisingly well. A&W covers the beverage and sweets side of things while most of the food goes over to Long John Silver’s. Most of the food choices here are breaded seafood choices or hamburgers. Of course, they also have their iconic A&W floats and A&W glasses. You can fill up your own glasses with your drink. I ended up ordering an A&W float and a basket of french fries. Both were surprisingly yummy, and I really enjoyed myself here. Be aware that the pricing can quickly get away from you, though. For our companion’s two meals, they spent over $ 18 for the two of them. For my float, small order of fries, and my partner’s value basket, we spent over $ 13. It can get pretty pricey(in terms of fast food pricing) to eat here, so if that’s a concern, watch what you’re ordering. Neat little location and pretty clean. Didn’t use the restrooms, but the seating and tables were cleaned and ready to go for wherever we chose. Some of the décor looked a bit aged, but it seems like it was more part of the«nautical» theme than anything that was accidental. Neat little place. I’m not sure I’d want to eat here on a regular basis(but I’m not a huge seafood fan), but I’d totally come back for the float. Yummy experience!
