To continue my experience with viscount it keeps getting worse. After seeing the response from the manager to my last review I decided to contact them. At first the seemed like they cared for me and wanted to bring good customer service to the table. They stated that they had the pool cover for me. I gladly accepted and also brought to there attention that the new pump for my pool has extremely loud. Right away the person I was talking to said sorry to hear that why don’t you bring that in and we will replace that pump or at least fix the issue for you. Keep in mind I got this pool late last summer. so the pump only had 2 months of run time last year and 1 month this year. I knew what was wrong with it because I could here on of the bearings screaming. So on my next day off I disconnected the pump from my pool and took it in. As soon as I took it in some guy took the pump and started blaming me for the problem. He said the reason its broken is because It sat under water. I responded to him that there was no way It would have sat under water! Then he started to act like a child and kept saying NO. Then I said so this means you cant fix it? He then said it would cost me $ 190. so I grabbed my pump, pool cover and my kids I drug up there. when I got home I easly took it apart and found the front bearing that went bad. There was no grease inside the bad bearing. So this was my fault? Also noticed that this pump claiming to be American made had in small print on the side of the unit that it was made in China. Go figure. I have since re-packed the bearing and it has helped to a point(should have had been done when it was in China) I called viscount today to talk with them and they also told me that these pumps are not supposed to sit outside threw the winter. I asked do you tell all your customers this? She said only when they have us come out and winterize there pool. So I have to pay them to tell me how to keep this cheap stuff working? So when its raining am I supposed to take my pump in doors also? Next for me is to contact the manufacture and see how they treat there customers also…
