What can I say about finding this hidden gem! This place is probably one of the few authentic thai and lao restaurants that are on my list as go to places. Now, keep in mind that this place isn’t your five star dining experience. Its a family owned restaurant ran by a sweet couple. The kind gentleman has been the only server I have had since discovering this place. This place is a bit tricky to find next to an insurance company. A small place consisting of maybe 8 tables. Great for a quick delicious bite. Don’t be discouraged by the lack of décor, it definitely is a great place!

Pretty good place for Thai. Small place owned by old folks but nice people. It’s not very ideal for sit in, but better for take out. Food was great and tasted like regular Thai, which is good. Prices are reasonable also. Give it a try

Mom and pop shop, great food, great service! Fried Spring rolls and egg rolls were to die for! I recommend the Panang curry. I like hot, and it came just like it. Only downfall, no drink refills.

This place is a hidden gem. On the outskirts of Keller in Watauga. I would have NEVER stopped to eat here without seeing all the reviews on Unilocal. The magic spring roll is exactly that! Magical!!! I got the spicy noodle with shrimp– amazing! I don’t live nearby but I will definitely be making a trip out here for Thai food! Honestly the best in this area.

I can’t believe I never went here when I was growing up! This place has been here FOREVER as far as I remember back. My mom lives just down the road. It is definitely a little hole in wall type of spot, but there a rustic charm on the inside. It’s a tiny place. It reminded me of sitting in your grandma’s kitchen. The service from the owner was top notch. My sister and I came in here one afternoon for lunch. We each got a Thai Tea and there were sweet just like they should be! I ordered the chicken pad Thai and the pork larb. My sister and I shared both items. The man serving us asked the spice level and I ordered it as spicy as I could. It was great! I loved the chicken pad Thai. The pork larb was good and had a good umami flavor. I do wish it was served with chucks of cabbage, but regardless it was still good. The price here was pretty inexpensive too! I told the owner I would come back next time I was in town and hopefully with my husband in tow!

Magic Springroll is the best!!! More than magic as its name suggests, it’s something more along the lines of kitchen wizardry!!! For more than just the food, which is excellent by the way, but we’ll get to that later. The outside is not fancy or even eye catching to passers by, but let’s look past that. The previously old donut shop is now a Thai restaurant that is whipping up dishes that will make your tastebuds happy. The Thai tea is outrageously good and the owner, who is also the your host and server, is more than happy to serve you and accommodate you. He will even open for you if he is closed!!! That brings us to the dishes!!! From tom yum soup to pad see ew I have yet to be disappointed by anything I have ordered!!! The food leaves you satisfied and feeling like you’ve experienced Thai culinary mastery.

This place is magic ! My husband and I go here probably once a week to feel the healing powers of the tom yum chicken soup and the pad see ew. This place is locally owned by the sweetest couple. Don’t be fooled by its appearance. I feel like this is one of watuagas gems. I’ve never found out what their official business hours are but on more than one occasion we have just showed up and he opened up just for us. Amazing kind service and the best Thai food I’ve ever had. And affordable !!! I recommend the chicken pad see ew and the tom yum chicken soup extra spicy.

I wish I could give a million stars for this place. Long time customer. Our regular is the Tom Kha Chicken soup(#3 spicy cause we live in the edge hehe). Never ever fails. A spoon full of rice and the soup soaked together noooomnooommmm. The gentleman who answers the phone and is at the desk is so sweet and always wanting to chit chat. It’s so worth it. When either of us(me and the boyfriend) get sick we go straight to this place and it heals! When it’s the first week of winter we get it and it gets us warm. Then we get it the rest of the year! it’s so good. EATHERE!!! If you don’t like it I will personally buy you something different from OCBurger next door. But trust me, you’ll love it. Also, the rice is cooked perfectly. Every time!

Came here for lunch for the first time with a group of four. It is a very small non-distinct place(hole-in-the-wall). Only one man serving but he was very nice and welcoming. Provided great service throughout the meal. The small menu is basic with most of the Thai main dishes you would see in Thai restaurants and at reasonable prices. We ordered the pad Thai, red curry, and another type of curry. They were all very delicious. The pad Thai noodles were cooked very well and was not too sweet. I don’t typically enjoy Thai food that are too sweet. The shrimp in my red curry was cool perfectly. Don’t let the appearance or lack of people fool you. I would recommend this place if you like good Thai food.

The owner is the most precious guy. I would go back just because he is so kind. I would also return because man is that Thai food food. I will say, as a vegetarian, I anticipated from the sign a healthy dose of vegetarian options, of which there were few. The pad Thai though was absolutely wonderful.

The place is very tiny and shoddy looking. However the owner is very nice even though I was in and out just picking up a to go order. I realized when I order pad see eww, he never asked me what spicy level. So It was not spicy at all. When I picked up the to go box it was disturbingly light. So I guess I won’t have two meals. Thai tea was very watered-down, so half of it went unfinished. The meal was not flavorful. Very bland. So I ended up touching up on the pad see eww on my stove. I was quite disappointed. This place is near me and it would have been nice if it was my new favorite place. But I will not be frequenting here.

We love this place! We eat here several times a month and we’re always greeted with a smile and the food is sooooo good. I love all the curry dishes. My wife gets the pad thai or the fried rice and she loves them as well. Everything is super fresh and an incredibly good value for the portion/quality to price ratio. Love Magic Spring Roll!

Second time here! So funny. Came at 8:00 pm on a Monday and door was locked. I looked through the window and saw who I think is the owner sitting by the cash register. He saw me and unlocked the door. I asked, «Are you closed?» He replied, «I open for you.» That he did and immediately started taking our orders! I absolutely love the food here! Do Not Judge. A Book By Its Cover!

Love coming to this hole in the wall Thai place in Watauga, Texas! Owners are incredible and extremely nice and welcoming. Menu is limited to the basics but that makes them better at what they know. The Panang is always a favorite. Chicken is tender and everything is made fresh to order!

I’ll be the first to admit that I do not usually like hole in the wall type places because I like more ambiance. I’m totally uncool that way. I also was not previously a big fan of Thai food, because the first Thai place my husband took me to was D. Asian and they were pretty bland and failed to label any of our takeout boxes, so everyone had to guess which dish was which. The hubs said he wanted to come here for his birthday and I won’t lie, I drove by it first and I was kind of terrified by both the appearance and the unfortunate quotation marks around the name«Magic Springroll» on the sign. But wow, it turned out to be amazing! The owner himself served us, and when I said I wanted my food spicy, he asked«Thai hot?» When I said yes, he smiled and I ended up getting a very spicy dish indeed. It was amazing and now I’m totally a Thai fan! Husband and vegan kid both loved their curry, too. Service is a little slow, so don’t go when you’re in a rush, but you can tell that the food is cooked fresh. I’m totally impressed. I’d like to say that I will never again judge a book by its cover, but that’s probably not true. But«Magic Springroll» definitely won me over.

We were growing tired of the Thai place around the corner from our neighborhood so we gave this place a shot. Ordered to go. Drove up, saw how dinky it was… said a fast prayer – dear Lord, please don’t let us get sick or die from this food, amen. Walk in, empty(its Sunday night, most places are empty lol!) the owner/chef greets me kindly, his employee(or maybe family member) also says hi, I’m immediately relieved at their kindness/friendliness and how amazing the place smells. Got our food, I got mussaman curry, my fav, hub got soup(sorry, forgot what kind) and we shared egg rolls. We just killed that food. So. Stinking. Delish!!! My curry was way spicier than I had expected(asked for a ‘2’ on spicy level) but it still rocked. Egg rolls were SO yummy! And hubs soup was excellent. I think we’ve found our new go-to Thai place, yay!!! I highly recommend this place. It feels like you ordered food from a house, and they treat you like well-loved family members. We’ll be back, perhaps tomorrow…:-)

Don’t be afraid to walk in because the place looks as sketchy as it gets. The manager is quite nice and sociable if you want to talk and even brings you water without asking. I got the massamun curry which was very flavorful and smelled delicious. My girlfriend got the green curry, which also tasted delicious but was much too spicy for either of us. Just make sure to ask how spicy the dish is.

Alright… its Delicious! I am no Thai cuisine expert(at least not yet) but I know fresh authentic food vs synthetic preservative crap(perks of being a vegan.) I have passed by this place countless times. I remember while stuck at the light one day, I looked over at the place, curious if anyone actually goes there or if it was abandoned? Lo and behold, fellow Unilocalers answered my question! Definitely a hole-in-wall gem! When you walk in just pick wherever you would like to sit. We walked in around 11:30 for an early lunch. The owner is very friendly and very hardworking. He will come and bring you menus. You will automatically get water without asking and if you want anything else to drink, let him know. I asked what time they opened since the hours of operation were not listed on the window. He said they open at 11:00 til 8 or 9 pm. He gave us time to look over the menu. I ordered the Pad Thai #23 and my mom ordered #24, cannot remember the name. All menu items are made extremely FRESH! I asked for my Pad Thai with no meat, no eggs and no fish sauce(fish sauce can be replaced by soy sauce.) Also added broccoli. They were totally accommodating! My moms #24 had no meat as well and no egg. The food came out steaming hot. Both of our plates looked delicious so we decided to be Mexican(which we are) and split our plates and share!(genius idea) Both dishes were amazing! This place gets a lot of their business from regulars. We were the first in the restaurant and as time went on a guy, a couple, a lady, and another guy came in, sat down and ordered their usual and started talking to the owner like they were neighbors, asking him about his new house etc. This place is on the intersection of Watauga Road and Denton Highway, right behind OC burgers. You have to come here if you are in the area! I will be coming back to get exactly what I ordered but with extra noodles, extra veggies and to try the papaya salad. I normally don’t write crazy long reviews like this but this place is so hidden, so unexpected, it deserves the praise.
