Stay Away from this shipping Broker. They lost my Mercedes. My car was delivered to a different city!!! There it was left abandoned only until I tracked it down and paid a Heafty storage fee to the owner. Owner of Auto Shipping Group hide behind the secretary and I was never able to speak to him after repeated attempts and he would never return any of my calls.
COMPLETE DISASTER.

Today I had three disappointing conversations with Auto Shipping Group. The first was with Felicia who is a sales rep. Felicia started the conversation impatiently and by the end became very rude. She accused me of not knowing what I am doing. She pushed for names of who I have been contacting and where I was getting my information. When I extended my right to not revile my sources due to how uncomfortable she was making me feel with her forcefulness the conversation begin to turn for the worse. She continued to push me to pay the driver in cash even though I have already stated that cash was not an option. I had to stop her when she said to hide the cash or money order in the car if I can’t withdraw money upon receiving the car. I told her that I can’t imagine this solution would be the most secure. That is when she told me to go do my research and hung up on me.
The second conversation is when I called the company back to give them a forewarning that I will be submitting a review to BBB and to give them a chance to explain their side of things. Brandon was on the phone and instantly begin to raise his voice. I understand when you want to defend your co-​worker but his tone was very rude and he also went on a rant about how I do not know what I am doing and that I should be grateful for Falicia’s frankness. I personally have dealt with many frank sales rep in this industry and Falicia’s behavior was beyond frank. Brandon said I have no bases to submit a review and that I am just being childish to complain. I stated that it is my right to submit my truthful review and customer service alone warrants a review. Brandon also ended the conversation by hanging up on me.
The last call was from the regional director. He called from a private number would not give me his name. He’s response after I asked for his name was basically along the lines of «I’m going to end this call after I say my piece so there’s no need to tell you my name.» During this third conversation the director called me stupid and immature and yelled at me during the whole conversation. He did not allow me a chance to speak and tried to intimating me out of submitting a review. I find this company to be extremely unprofessional and the customer service is beyond awful. I would not feel comfortable working with this company or recommend anyone to use their service.

I called Auto Shipping Group on March 7, 2016 and spoke with Greg Bailey to get a quote to ship my car from Burlington. NC to San Mateo, CA. Greg answered all my questions and gave me a quote of $ 900 for my 2014 Mustang from door to door. After comparing his price to 2 other companies, I decided to go with this company because Greg seemed to be very professional. I received an order for the $ 900 via email, called Greg and gave him my credit card info to use for the deposit to secure the rate. I also asked him to call me before March 15 with the driver’s name (car was to be picked up ³⁄₁₆) so I could have a certified check ready at the drop off point. On March 10, instead of getting the driver’s info, I received an email from Greg saying he had made a mistake and misquoted the rate and that he had to add $ 150 to the price. I called Greg to let him know I was very disappointed and understood he made a mistake, however his mistake shouldn’t be at his customer’s cost. I have worked in a professional position for over 30 years and when I have ever made a mistake, my customer didn’t pay for it. Greg said he could give me the phone number for the trucking company so I could call them and cut his company (and his fee) out all together and now that company (who wants $ 925) is telling me my car will be on a long haul carrier from NC to Los Angeles and then on a flatbed truck from LA to San Fran area. I guess I should have read the Unilocal reviews and NOT only the reviews on the website
because it is obvious the testimonials on the website are controlled by the company and they sure aren’t going to put the truth on there. Poor customer service and I would stay away from this company based on my experience as well as the other Unilocal reviews.

My husband and I used Auto Shipping Group to transport our VW Jetta from California to Michigan. Brandon was very nice and informative on phone and in emails. I liked that they insured everything they transported at no extra cost. Not all companies did that.
There was a trick in trying to find an area where the tow could pick up our car. We live on a one way street so we had to coordinate with the driver where we could meet. The driver didn’t know the area very well, and a nearby parking lot was completely packed. It took some time but worked out pretty well. Not a complaint, but just a heads up.
My complaint is that the brand new car departed without a scratch and arrived with a leak in one of the tires. The family member who inspected the car didn’t realize it was leaking upon arrival, but after about a week, it was nearly flat. Minus 1 star for this.
I contacted Brandon about how this ought to get covered under the company’s insurance, and I received no reply from him. Minus the second star. So much for peace of mind with the vehicle being insured. I did get the tire fixed free of charge, so I didn’t bother with ASG further. But I would have given them a much better rating had they bothered to even follow up with me. This tells me that if there was any damage to my car at all, I would end up being responsible for repairs even though they advertise otherwise.
Will not use again. Will not recommend.

I made a desperate call to ASG after making a reservation with Car Delivery USA that fell through at the last minute. Between calling a bunch of companies and reading their mostly horrible reviews online, I was tearing my hair out. I had a unique situation where I had to ship my car from LA to Buffalo NY, fly to Buffalo myself, and pick it up the same day to drive it to Toronto. I was discouraged by the unhelpful, disorganized, and often condescending attitude of most of the brokers I spoke with, some of them tried to convince me to get a hotel in for a few days in Buffalo and wait for the car because they couldn’t even try to guarantee a date of delivery. After all the headache, it was a breath of fresh air to reach Felicia Williams at ASG.
Felicia was friendly, patient, helpful and communicative from the beginning. She was the only broker I spoke to (out of at least 10) to who was knowledgeable about the drivers’ routes. She pulled up the route info while I was on the phone with her, quickly locating a driver who was already shipping a car from LA to NY within the same timeframe. Whereas other brokers left me waiting for 2 – 3 days before I called to check if they found a driver yet, Felicia responded within an hour confirming the truck. Because the driver was set to arrive in Buffalo before my flight would, Felicia helped locate a terminal in Buffalo where the car could be stored until I picked it up. She was upfront that there would be an extra storage fee, it turned out to be only $ 10. This may seem like a minor thing, but after dealing with another moving company that added tons of hidden fees, her honesty was much appreciated.
The day before pickup, the driver, Pavel called to confirm a time and said he’d prefer to pick it up earlier if possible, so he could get a head start driving to NY. He was understanding about the time-​crucial nature of the shipment, and let me know exactly when he was planning on arriving in Buffalo. Because I wasn’t going to be there to pay in person at the time the car arrived, we arranged it so I could pay his portion through paypal after he confirmed delivery. He and Felicia texted me updates while the car was in transit, Pavel even sent a picture of the car after dropping it off so I could travel in peace.
I spoke with the terminal attendant, John, before I arrived to confirm that my pickup time would work out. Although they usually closed at 5, he was nice enough to stay later until my flight arrived. Everything went smoothly, I picked the car up and drove to Toronto before dinnertime.
Cost-​wise, it wasn’t the cheapest estimate I got, but not the most expensive either, absolutely worth it for the peace of mind. The quotes I had gotten ranged from $ 990-​$ 2000, ($ 990 being the ill-​fated one from Car Delivery USA). The total for ASG came out to $ 1299 ($ 1259 for the shipment itself + $ 30 for the paypal transaction + $ 10 for one day of storage in Buffalo). Many other companies had quoted me 7 – 10 days, but ASG delivered in 5 days.
The whole shipment was like a well-​oiled machine, everyone I spoke with was professional and helpful. I would call Felicia first if I ever need to ship a car again!

After they collecte my deposit of $ 206 to pick up my vehicle on ¹⁰⁄₂₀. They never showed up! AFTER calling several times and not able to get a straight answer from anyone! A man calls me asking for my address to come to my house saying he is from Auto Ship Group!
This man was completely unprofessional! After asking him, he says he is broker, NOT THE CARRIER, saying he was goign to inspect my car, but he never did! Instead he hung outside my house staying on his phone talking the entire time! I aksed him WHERE IS THE CARRIER WHO IS SUPPOSED TO PICK UP MY CAR? HE said he is at an auction and lost a vehicle and has no idea when he will get here! I said, do you plan to stay gave me the run around the entire day for not showing up! I took an entire day off! The pick up time was 10 am. It is now 3 pm and I have been dealing with this nonesense and broken promisses the entire day and missing work and my vehicle is still not picked up!
Auto Ship Group only cares about getting the upfront money because they are BROKERS who send the order to another company! They deal with many brokers and send off your car to whoever gives them the lowest bid! BE AWARE!
I cancelled my order and used another company, but they REFUSE TO REFUND ME the $ 206 for deposit for service which was NEVER rendered! I plan to reported this to my credit card company and send my NIGHTMARED experience and BBA and all transportation sites!

I spoke to Chell Hart about shipping my car and she would always call me back if I couldn’t get a hold of her right away. She would even call me to give me updates every couple days to let me know if we found a driver to pick up my vehicle. She was very tentative to what I needed. She is very personable and a great person to talk to. She is very helpful and knowledgeable. Unfortunately at the last minute I decided to drive my car across country instead of shipping my car.

My experience with Auto Shipping Inc and with their Sales representative Felicia Williams was good with no issues/​concerns. Overall I am happy and would surely recommend shippers to count in Auto Shipping /​Felicia Williams for their vehicle shipment before making the final decision/​selection. I will share my experience from the beginning till end to the best possible, as I believe this would help other shippers while exploring carrier/​brokers for shipping their vehicles. When I reached out to Auto Shipping Inc., Felicia Williams was assigned to me as the Sales Rep. She was very kind and patient to explain in very detail how this business actually operates/​different options for shipment, etc, etc. This was the first time I was shipping my vehicle and thus all the info was very helpful. To be honest this whole industry is full of dis-​honest people, negative to no focus on customer experience, and all sorts of terrible aspects that you can ever imagine, is prevalent in this line of business. Felicia was, perhaps great in sealing the deal and convincing me to ship using Auto Shipping Inc. Felicia was very proactive and kept me informed on the progress and two weeks prior to my informed ready date for pickup (June 26^th), I started getting text messages from Felicia that they are working on assigning the truck/​driver/​carrier co. I got the text at a regular interval of 3 – 4 days (June 16^th, 19^th, 23^rd). While the messages were the same (perhaps a copy-​paste) but she kept me engaged. Since I mentioned to them the ready date as June 26^th, I was slightly impatient as I wanted to know the pickup date (I chose standard which gives a window of 1 to 10 days). I wasn’t concerned about which exact date it is picked up but definitely wanted to know at that point in time the date even if it was 10 days later pickup. Since I was moving from OH to MA on 29^th, I needed to make sure everything is planned well. So I responded to Felicia’s texts from June 19^th about when I can be informed on the pick up date. On June 23^rd I asked Felicia to inform me the date of pickup and I was told that it is much to do with the truck dispatch. So I believe it is always at the 11^th hour you would come to know when the pickup will happen. Hence, it would definitely be tough to plan ahead of time. On 24^th June, when I texted Felicia asking about the pickup date, she was able to confirm the pickup. The price I received when I booked through Auto Shipping Inc. was $ 760 (standard) but it went up by $ 48 and the new price was $ 808. Yes it was definitely a surprise to me. On inquiring about the rate change, the response was something like this — «you’re wanting pickup in 2 days and constantly texting about getting it assigned, it is dispatched now and I have your update, Ty». This was surely a shocker because so far the conversations were very polite/​professional and in a way that a customer would want to be treated. This message was more like «nothing doing, you have booked and now you have to pay and have no options left» -:) Well yes it was kind of rude and surely not the way I was having conversations before this episode. I was disappointed because with the reply because asking for pickup date doesn’t mean that I am not flexible, I never said I want the pickup tomorrow or today. I just asked when is the pickup date (doesn’t matter even if it is 10 days later, i just want to plan as it has to be then in my absence). It didn’t end there, then I got another response that «it should have been booked under expedited». Well, I asked for standard and thus was open for 1 – 10 days pickup. It’s only that I asked for the pickup date so that I could plan things at my end. I was moving with family and it was a big move for us along with two kids. and I am supposed to plan everything best possible. Not sure why such emails/​texts to customer and end up losing all the good experience the customer would have had. in just minutes through such 2 – 3 text messages. Customer doesn’t deserve to be treated like this and a sales person must understand this. Well I signed the paper work and agreed for moving forward as I actually didn’t have any other options at that point in time! The pickup was very smooth. After the pickup Felicia continued to keep me posted on the delivery. I had a request for delivery at hotel (where I was supposed to stay for 3 days) or at home (after 2^nd July (when I moved in). So it was very well coordinated and planned by Felicia informing the truck/​driver. Hence, the delivery was also very smooth. Except for the one episode I mentioned above, my experience was good with Felicia and Auto Shipping Inc. and also the carrier. Overall satisfied with just one recommendation to them… please avoid such unnecessary instances. You guys were very close to be 5 star rated from an overall experience.

They guaranteed pickup within a range of three days. Guaranteed. I asked several times before agreeing to use their service, since we would spend a lot of money based on their pick-​up commitment. They promised to pick up our car. By the last day of our pick-​up window, no sign of the driver. No explanation. Just a shoulder shrug and «Well, can’t help us buddy!» We were duped. My family wasted money on non-​refundable airfare, and I had to take two days off of work, so that we could drive our car across the country at the last minute. When I asked about getting any kind of compensation, they told me it is not their problem. These guys are terrible. You’re better off going with a reputable and honest company.

Excuses, excuses.
If you choose this group, expect that you will hear one excuse after another. It’s like a 10-​year-​old explaining why they didn’t do their homework.
«they were caught in traffic from New York. I hear it’s pretty bad.» (This caused a two day delay in pick up for a cross-​country delivery.)
Four days later, «they were caught in floods in Arizona. It’s going to delay things. Really sorry they botched this. Be sure to tell the driver how mad you are.»
” you didn’t get my email? Yeah, I’m going to put a call right now into our head of IT. We’ve been having problems.“
Five days later: «did you not receive the details of the company that’s shipping to you? I sent it on X date. Oh sorry. Must’ve been my email. I think it was down that day.» (Me: «Well, I did receive one email from you on that very day, but it’s not the details of who the carrier is.»). «yeah. I’m going to get on that right away.
Day of delivery: the driver is an hour and 15 minutes away from you. He’s in (the next major city over.)
3 ½ hours later: «he hasn’t called you yet? I’ll get on it. Oh, looks like he’s an hour to two hours away now.»
Blah, blah, blah.
My recommendation: pick another company than «redcarpet auto​trans​port​.com»

Scheduled a date to have a car picked up. They were supposed to call the day prior, never did. We called them, they told us to start calling the trucker, whose phone went to a full voice mail box. Called the coordinator again, he said truckers are hard to reach.
Day of we didn’t hear from anyone, finally called the coordinator, he asked why we didn’t call sooner. He told us he’d call back in 15 minutes, never did. The day came and went, the car is still in our driveway, and we’re on the other coast now.
Update: They tried to pick up the car on day 2 and again failed. Last time I spoke to the driver was 8pm and he was hours away, said he’d arrive around 11:30pm. Never showed up.
This is an extremely unreliable company. Do not use them.

First off this company sounded great they would get me a discount on my shipping from Hawaii to the mainland and then pick it up at the port in Long Beach CA and ship it to Ohio to the door for me is what I was told and what might of likely happened if I chose to go with them.
Well the day came and I called to book at the rate they gave me, all is still going good. Then this is where things got fishy they could only accept credit card for their fee they said then I may or may not have to pay the driver once he drops it off. The lady Stephanie was rude once I told her I didn’t want to ship with them, and insisted that Unilocal wasn’t accurate so I hope they don’t mind me leaving a review if its not accurate and all and people don’t read it either. All in the this company seems like a rip off and I wouldn’t use them.

This process was super scary– I mean, as you can see, a lot of people have horror stories. I dealt with Chell Hart. She was great about walking me through the entire process as I and everyone in my family was completely foreign to the idea of shipping a car. I was moving from upstate NY to San Francisco Bay area. I got a little nervous as the time got closer because we were having a lot of trouble finding a carrier (it was in the middle of the past winter and as everyone knows the weather was KILLER). We finally found a company willing to do it, Avrora Express Inc. and the car was off. The drivers were awesome, they kept me up to date the entire time and actually got there early– it only took them 3 DAYS. Oh, and my car came back cleaner than I left it with them, I guess they had the trailer washed and my car got a little bath along with it. I have a 2011 Jeep Liberty and it’s kind of my baby, so I was obviously thrilled it was clean, and had no damage. It wasn’t a cheap thing, I paid about $ 1,500, which seemed industry standard after doing research. And it was totally worth it. Thank you Chell!

My husband and I shipped a car from Michigan to California recently. At first, we seemed to be on the same page with a representative that my husband spoke to on the phone just to get an idea of cost and logistics.
We felt comfortable with the quote and the rep quickly took advantage of it. From here on out, the experience we had was just awful. For example, the details regarding payment methods was not clearly explained and was then blamed on us as their patrons. Even when my husband was able to reach out to a supervisor, the management’s demeanor was very short, rude and completely unapologetic.
With the circumstances provided, we had no other options but to see the business transaction through but explore other auto shipping companies and don’t settle with Auto Shipping Group just because it seems more affordable.

Edit 1: Turns out they are not even accredited with BBB, although they advertise their A grade on BBB. Complaint history consistent with what I said about their rude, patronizing customer service post-​sale. Be sure to read about them on Ripoff Report as well. Their Facebook page is pretty close to what you’ll find here — includes reviews from disgruntled employees even. Both definitely worth taking a look at.
Edit 2: I finally got a response from them. Not directly to me, but to the only place online that this company seems to care about which is BBB. The response was a template canned response with no specifics to this actual situation.
Edit 3: It’s March 8, 2015 and I noticed my review is no longer recommended and no longer appearing. I am a bit surprised given that others have marked it ‘helpful’. That makes me lose a bit of faith in Unilocal’s algorithm — perhaps Auto Shipping Group is now a paying customer?
I FINALLY saw a response on BBB from their executive VP. He answers none of my concerns, but attempts to reframe the situation. Feel free to read the whole thing there, but here’s an example of this company’s inability to think about their customers.

Not only did I email/​call this VP multiple times, I gave each contact multiple chances to remedy the situation. Now that things are being aired online, I see that they are literally distorting the situation. I never asked for a discount/​comp, all I wanted to was talk to a senior person who was actually going to LISTEN. Let’s not manipulate the situation (see what I did there) and turn it around on me. Sir, you nor your team have any accountability.
This VP continues, «We have managers and highly trained staff that handled this situation to my approval.»
It is clear that the team operates with a standard/​tone set by their VP. Please, remember that your bottom line exists because of customers. I imagine repeat business could be fairly lucrative and I’m sure word of mouth is definitely valuable in your business. You might have strong armed other customers, but you will not silence my voice. Let me clarify something since you never bothered to really read my email or listen to my voicemails. I want NOTHING from your company. The only thing I want now is for all future prospective customers to see my account before they choose your company.
