I lived in Tahoe for 15 years(1990 – 2005) and drove a couple classic 900s. Dave White is the only guy to bring your Saab to. So knowledgable, honest, over the top dedication to the Saab driving experience. A couple weeks ago I bought a 1992 Saab 900s that is going to need some work. Immediately, I thought of Dave. I live in Vermont now. There seem to be a couple of well regarded Saab mechanics back here, but I am missing Dave…

Thank goodness for this place. When I was looking to buy a used Saab somebody recommended that I take it to Dave for an inspection. I’d already had a mechanic give the car a cursory go over and he told me that everything looked fine. To be on the safe side I figured I would cough up the dough and have an expert corroborate. Dave really knew what he was talking about. He found a bunch of issues that nobody else would have even thought to look for. Leaks, computer codes even though the check engine light was not on, and other things I won’t even pretend to understand. He told me not to take the risk, and probably saved me from buying a lemon. To top it all off he didn’t even charge me! Very professional, courteous, knowledgeable and fair, Dave is the only person I would trust with a Saab. It is absolutely worth the trip out to Washoe Valley, I only wish I still had one so I could go back.

This guy really knows what he’s doing. He explains what’s happening with your car and really«gets it». Meaning, he understands if your just trying to just fix the major things or just trying to save money or going for a major fix. He seems to understand your intentions and gives you options without you having to read between the lines — if you’ve ever been to a saab dealer you know what I’m talking about. I can’t say enough about Dave — your a life saver and deserve more than five stars. This shop is worth the drive from all surrounding areas if you have a Saab.

If you own a Saab in the Reno Tahoe area, you owe it to yourself and your Saab to get to know Dave White. I know because i got to know him when my Saab a/c compressor froze and cooked the tensioner. Dave’s maintained Saabs for decades, knows them inside out and is an excellent diagnostician. He tells it like it is and charges less than a neurosurgeon. If you live nearby, drive a Saab and very lucky, you may never meet Dave.
