This a wonderful state park with deep historical significance. The Barrington Farm is a real treat to see.

This was our second stop yesterday during H.A.T.s’ bluebonnet tour. I loved the 3 mile hike and touring the Barrington Living History farm. The staff was very responsive and knowledgable. I love seeing these type of self-​sustaining farms. We happened to arrive just as they had finished making lunch for their staff and volunteers. The chili and corn bread has made with ingredients from the farm.
This isn’t a petting zoo… these are working animals… so probably not a very good choice for small children unless they are content to looky-​but-​no-​touchy :-)
