History

Established in 1994.

In early 1994, Marthinsen & Salvitti Insurance Group was founded when Alan C. Marthinsen and E. Ronald Salvitti II purchased the Property and Casualty book of business from a small agency in Washington, PA. Since those early years, when Al and Ron shared one desk, the growth of MSI has been extraordinary. Aggressive sales techniques, acquisitions, the addition of a Benefits department, and the hiring of highly experienced associates have all contributed to MSI becoming one of the largest and most aggressive privately-​owned agencies in the Tri-​State area.

In 1994, Alan Marthinsen and Ron Salvitti acquired a small insurance agency in Washington, PA and since then Marthinsen & Salvitti Insurance Group has grown to become one of the 10 largest privately-​owned insurance brokers in the Tri-​State region.

Representing more than 30 insurance companies, Marthinsen & Salvitti Insurance Group is a full service, independent agency that writes all lines of insurance, including Business Insurance, Worker’s Compensation, Home and Auto, Health, Life, and Employee Benefits. With offices in Washington, Allegheny, and Lawrence Counties, and agents all over the Tri-​State region, MSI provides the highest level of service to clients both large and small.
