It takes forever to sift through the items here, and so many things have holes or stains on them. MAKESUREYOUINSPECTTHINGSBEFOREYOUBUYTHEM! Everything is cheap, more or less, but that doesn’t forgive the amount of holes or stains there are on a lot of the clothing.

This particular Gabriel Brothers location we have been going to for years even though there are some that are closer(Ross Park, Century III) probably because it was the first one we ever went to and it has sort of stuck with us all these years. The bottom line is I’ve been here more times than I can count at this point. The Gabriel Brothers chain is like a liquidators sort of store sort of like TJ Maxx. They carry all sorts of clothes, house wares, some dry foods etc. Unlike some of the stores we have like this in Canada(Winners for example) this chain and particularly this location we seem to constantly have good luck with when it comes to getting good finds. Some times it is hit or miss because you never really know what the stores can get but as I said sometimes you get lucky and occasionally you can get really lucky and find a lot of items. The items you can find range to all sort of types and brands when we’re talking about clothes in particular. The store is laid out by gender and then type and also by size so you will have an entire area of women, women’s accessories and then an area for casual, sport, etc. Same for men, you will get shoes, sport, youth, work, big and tall etc. I’ve found some absolute amazing finds here. Great brands like Callaway, Fila, Reebok, Nike, I could go on and on. The best value item I think I ever found was a wool London Fog winter coat for about a hundred bucks. This same jacket was retail almost 400 dollars. My wife has find various jeans that would be worth over 200 dollars each for maybe 30 a piece. If you happen to find good items, they will be greatly reduced. I have bought a lot of sports wear and paid far less than retail. Nike and Ecko stuff that is usually 20 to 30+ would be like 5 to 10 bucks here. The sorting of items is not disorganized, it’s relatively easy to find brands, styles and sizes. My favorite running shoes I bought here for 30 bucks which are a really nice looking light pair of Reeboks which retailed for over 70 before. To me Gabriel Brothers is always worth a look because there are such great deals to be had sometimes. While you are never guaranteed to find something you are never guaranteed anywhere you go but it’s a good place to start. Be aware of the seasons and what the end of seasons have to bring into a place like this. You can find shorts and summer stuff here say at the end of the summer or winter stuff in spring etc.

I was shopping for men’s and young men’s clothes, which were well organized. Men’s shoes were a mess. Merchandise changes constantly so you’re pretty much impulse shopping or buying it just because it’s cheap. Belts and ties are an extremely good bargain if you can sift through enough tacky ones(ties) to get to a few you’d see in a department store.
