As a company that is professional, insured and bonded, our pledge for 2014 is to provide the highest level of cleaning, laundry and customer service in the industry.

Our mission is to ease the stress of busy individuals by assisting with their domestic chores because we understand the need for a balanced lifestyle while maintaining a demanding career, active children’s schedules, exciting social life, hectic travel schedule, etc.

Business Owner

The owner of Your Pampered Home is Roger. He serves on the board of an organization he founded that provides educational programs and services to foster relationships and economic independence within families as well as volunteers with several local and national nonprofit organizations. Roger spends as much time traveling as possible and his favorite destination have been Cape Town, South Africa and Santorini, Greece. His family is his most treasured asset and he really enjoys skiing on the West Coast, but with limited time, he can usually be found at one of the areas nearby ski resorts (PA, VA and WV).

As the owner of Frolick Dogs, I contacted Your Pampered Home last minute to request cleaning services for our 3,000 sqft dog gym, grooming area, office and lobby prior to our grand opening. YPH responded quickly to my request, so I scheduled the cleaning for 8am the following morning. Angelo called just before 8 to let me know the exact time they would be there, and arrived with a total crew of 4 professionals ready to clean.
YPH Cleaning Service was there for two hours, during which Angelo checked in frequently to confirm what was needed, very much appreciated. The crew was professional and diligent. When they were done, Angelo performed a walkthrough with me and personally performed some small touch-​ups to ensure I was completely satisfied with the work.
I couldn’t have been more pleased with YPH’s responsiveness, professionalism, and focus on customer service, plus the cleaning services they provided were excellent. I strongly recommend both Angelo and YPH for your future cleaning needs!

I have used YPH two of times since my move in, and didn’t find the services as great as my first time. They are efficient and clean kitchens and bathrooms incredibly well, but both times something was thrown away or not cleaned; e.g. broken glass that had been picked up right before they arrived and left to be put in a recyling container was put in the trash in a plastic bag; cabinets weren’t cleaned in one part of the kitchen previously.
I would use them again in a pinch, and for a move out and move in. Roger always remedies anything that isn’t right and their customer service is great. But I have to reduce my review by a star as I think these type of issues shouldn’t happen to begin with.

YPH came out and did a free follow up cleaning after I expressed concerns after my first cleaning. I had low expectations but was pleasantly surprised!
They arrived precisely on time and did a great job. I was very impressed. They even got a stain off my coffee table that has been there for years. Like before, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Unlike before, I was left with no complaints about the cleaning services. They were very thorough, even though I didn’t do as good of a job decluttering as I had previously.

I used Your Pampered Home for laundry service this past weekend.
I was in DC for the weekend visiting friends, and knew I would have no ability to do laundry. I searched for options, and there are not many. That being said, I would happily use Your Pampered Home again!
I needed my laundry picked up/​dropped off from my hotel. Both of these processes went seamlessly. I had to leave a few minutes before my pickup window was over, and left my laundry with the bellman. The gent who picked up my laundry was able to figure this out without my intervention, which I was incredibly thankful for. Dropoff also happened in line with the time I was told, and I received a message when the laundry had again been left with the bellman!
Payment was easy, as I was sent an invoice and able to pay online through paypal. Also, because it was a holiday weekend, I got my laundry delivered back to me on a faster than advertised turnaround, which I was extremely grateful for!
The only thing I will say is that the online appointment, and an early email were not as clear as they could have been, but after receiving subsequent outstanding service I would definitely consider this an option for next time I am in town.

I received a Your Pampered Home three-​bedroom cleaning as a gift. It was the first time I had ever had someone come to clean my house. What a treat! There were three individuals who arrived exactly on time and worked digilently for a couple hours. They covered every detail and I loved the results. Everything looked and smelled wonderful. Even the kids were impressed and kept their room clean for weeks afterwards. I was very impressed with the employees, who were all polite and professional. I also want to say that they were very kind in allowing me to reschedule my appointment not once but twice. I highly recommend Your Pampered Home!

I have been trying to get in touch with this company for a week now to tell them my address changed and that I need more cleaning. It has been like pulling teeth, especially in light of the fact that I am a new customer, AND I am willing to pay more for them to do more.
After reading these reviews, I think Ive been spared… I might not call them back now.

Sigh. I’ve been using YPH for years (see an earlier, much happier review). Sadly, after years of using their service I’ve finally given up the ghost of services past and am refusing to use the service any more. They’ve really gone downhill. Where they used to have a great team come in and spend time making my house look lovely, now I have to come in after the team to pick up the scattershot mess they’ve left of my belonging after they clean. No more.

This review is for the laundry pickup/​dropoff service. I’m downgrading my review to 3 stars.
I’ve been using them for almost 2 years now and I’ve seen a gradual slip in the punctuality of the pickups/​dropoffs and the quality of the laundry service itself.
First, they give you a half hour window in which they will pick up your laundry. They have only come on time maybe a third of the time. Sometimes much earlier (waking me up earlier than anticipated — c’mon I need my beauty sleep!) or later (making me either be late to work or miss my laundry pickup). Dropoffs are usually a little more punctual. They started this new message system that texts you twice and emails once before the appointment time to remind you of the time — but what’s the point if the drivers aren’t on time themselves?
Now about the laundry. The prices are still the same about $ 30 for 20 pounds of laundry. But maybe they are overpacking the machines, not sorting out the colors, or using the wrong settings because 25% of the time something has gone wrong with the laundry — whites absorbed some of dye from colored cloths, some clothes have come back with the color much faded, etc.
The price is still reasonable, cloths are still clean, there are just some issues here and there. I’m just sad the quality has gone downhill.

This was a Groupon deal that worked out very well for me.
The crew showed up on time (as scheduled) and did an excellent job cleaning my place. They did everything, including mopping the floors and even vacuumed under my couch (after I moved it out of the way).
At the end we walked through each room to do a final check. Everything was spotless.
I have used other cleaning companies before and usually ran into a «language barrier» issue where I could not explain to the cleaners what I wanted. No such problems here!
Overall, excellent and I will use them again.

Only had them come to clean my 1 BR apartment because I got a deal on groupon.
First off… they showed up 2 hours ahead of time without calling to let me know. They did an okay job of cleaning. It seems that they did as good a job as I would if i spent an hour or so just dusting an cleaning my place up myself. I expect more when there is a crew of professionals coming to clean my place.
I was surprised at how much they moved stuff around… or should I say moved stuff and then just put it where they wanted to because they probably didn’t remember how it was before. My dresser was obviously just dusted with a dry cloth because there was still some things on it that would have come off if they had used polish. They definately did not give it a nice deep cleaning like they advertise.
Finally, they blew a fuse in my apartment and left without telling anyone. They had to turn in my key to the front desk person and could have mentioned it to her but didn’t. I get a call a little while later letting me know about it and I had to take care of it from there… mind you I am lucky I have a job where I can take time out to do this otherwise I might have had a huge mess in my fridge when I got home later that night. Also, The person that called was unsure if they finished or not and said he would get back to me incase they didn’t and had to come back the next day… he never called, I finally called about 4 hours later to find out… Thank god they finished because I don’t know if I would want to deal with it another day…
Overall I am ok with the service considering I had a groupon for it… if i had paid the regular price I would be a not so happy person right now.

At least i didn’t pay full price. I had a groupon. They did an alright job. There were 4 of them and they were at my house for almost an hour and cleaned one bedroom, one bathroom, the kitchen and living room. It has always been my experience that the cleaners bring their own cleaning supplies — but they rummaged through the cupboards to use some of mine. The house is cleaner and worth the discounted price.
They also broke a glass. Just not impressed.

If I could give negative stars I would! This was the third time we hired Your Pampered Home to clean our house. The first two times were fine. The third time was a nightmare and we will not hire them again.
We moved out of our three bedroom rental and contracted YPH to do the final «move out’ clean. Normally includes the cleaning of kitchen appliances as well as scrubbing the bathrooms.
They failed to do many of these things. The landlord called me up to complain and has now hired his own cleaning crew to do a proper job. If that is not enough (wait for it…) the landlord witnessed the cleaning crew urinating in the back yard. Hello!?! If you have access to a house, why pee outside?
Generally, the landlord (who lives in the basement of the house and was home to witness YPH) told me they were loud and obnoxious. He told me not to pay them and that is exactly what I did… not pay them.
Their slogan say to «relax.» Hiring them certainly did the opposite and invited a lot of stress and frustration into my day.
If this is not enough for you concider that I had to call over three times to post this compaint and had to leave voicemails! They didn’t return any of my calls.
Horrible.

I am posting a excerpt from an email that I sent to them and they have not had the decency to respond to.
Today I had my apartment cleaned by your company for the first time. I am writing you this email to tell you that I will not use your services again. If you are at all curious to know why, please continue to read.
Your company called and pushed my cleaning date back a day not once, but twice. In the footnote of your emails you state:
If it is necessary to cancel or reschedule your pampered home experience, Your Pampered Home requires 48 hours notice. If Your Pampered Home receives less than 48 hours notice, or cannot access your home, it will be necessary for us to charge the full price of your cleaning
I did not receive 48 hours notice either time. Should I charge you?
Your cleaning crew did a terrible job.
* All the window sills in my house are covered in dust.
* The there are dust clumps all around where the floor meets the wall throughout the apartment.
* The one small area rug in the middle of our living room was not vacuumed.
* The bathrooms were haphazardly cleaned at best.
I left two pairs of clean dress pants folded on my bed. They were crumpled up and shoved in my laundry hamper along with my jacket that was on the back of my desk chair. Now they need to be pressed again (thanks for the extra dry cleaning)

With the schedule pressures of being in school part-​time and working full time we have decided to give up the «intense» cleaning we would normally do and treat ourselves to a montly service. It’s like Living social read my mind as they offerred a deal on housecleaning the very next day.
We got home yesterday and it was literally beautiful in our place. The crew themselves did a great job. The problem arose when I received a message shortly thereafter (i work at the pentagon, so it was time delayed) saying that the crew did not know what to do with our sunroom, which we use an office, so they chose not to clean it becuase I had not «technically paid for it. »
Well, technically, I did. The coupon was for a one bedroom cleaning of up to 1200 square feet, and my one bedroom with a sunroom adds up to only 1100. Like other reviews, I really feel their crew did a great job, but not only do I question the integrity behind that decision, but with their prices higher than most services we will probably not use them for the regular service we are looking to retain.

I hesitated to provide a low rating for Your Pampered Home. The cleaning service has been terrific, and the cleaning staff very pleasant and conscientious about doing a great job. But the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Let’s begin with the simple stuff: For three separate weeks, they’ve needed to call/​email me and ask for information off of the same credit card I’ve had on file for more than a month (three appointments). Apparently, someone continues to write down either the wrong number, security code or expiration date, and they keep calling to ask me for my info. (At first, I thought I was being scammed. But now I know I’ve just been dealing with incompetence.)
But the kicker for me happened today — a double-​barrel shot. We scheduled a 12pm appointment, and my wife planned her day around being out of the house with our newborn. When she returned home two hours after the scheduled appointment, no one had shown up. I received zero notification that anyone would be late. When I called Naia (sp?) at Your Pampered Home, she said that if she had known we had a newborn, someone would have been at the house on time. (I feel like that’s completely irrelevant.) She apologized that no one had told me that a 12pm appointment actually means 3pm (which is when the cleaning team will supposedly arrive).
This inexcusably poor excuse, along with the repeated phone calls to get my credit card info correct, leads me to believe this is the gang that can’t shoot straight. I told Naia that the totality of this experience has been far more trouble than it’s worth, and I informed her that I would take my business elsewhere.
Before I could ask about closing out my account, she hung up on me. (!!!) Immediately afterward, I called three times before I could even get someone to pick up the phone and answer my question. When Naia did come to the phone, she apologized for hanging up in my face. But the damage had been done.
Right now, I’m feeling far from Pampered.
If you’re looking for an easy, problem-​free service experience, you need to look elsewhere.
On that note, does anyone have a recommendation for a good Washington, DC cleaning service? I’m in the market. Thank you.

The team was about 30 minutes late for my first cleaning, which made me late for work. The cleaning itself was better than what I would normally do, but not spectacular. They did, however, fold the giant pile of clean laundry on my floor. Very nice.
My second cleaning was less satisfactory. I was supposed to get $ 5 off my bill for a survey I had completed, and that wasn’t deducted. I was also charged for a refridgerator cleaning I had requested which didn’t happen, and the oven cleaning I requested didn’t happen either (but at least I wasn’t charged.) My bathtub didn’t appear to be cleaned, and things were just a little less tidy than the last time the team had come. On the plus side, they folded the clean laundry again and did the dishes I left in the sink due to a hectic schedule (and which I’d told them they could ignore.)
Considering that the pricing is higer than other local services, I probably won’t be using this cleaning team again.

So I moved in to my house three months ago. However, due to my travel schedule it makes the act of cleaning a hard one to schedule in. So when I came across these reviews I was very excited to schedule my first appointment.
It is now 8:20 AM on the day of my appointment and I just got a call from one of the cleaning ladies stating that their GPS is telling them they will be here in 20 minutes. So I’m going to take a half star off for lateness and another half star off for additional lateness. We’ll see how the rest of this morning goes.

You know how one of the best parts of business travel is the hotel laundry service? It’s like magic. You leave a bag of dirty clothes in your messy room in the morning. You come back and not only is your room tidied and vaccuumed, but your laundry is clean! folded! doesn’t smell like airplane! and waiting for you!
YPH is ilke that, except without the jet lag.
I accumulate a large bag of dry cleaning that sits by my door «for when I get a chance to drop it off.» Usualy it sits there for WEEKS. Getting my dry cleaning back, usually a week after I drop it off, is therefore sort of like Christmas («Oh! I forgot I had these pants. I love these pants!»)
This is fine, but sometimes it reaches the point of absurdity, and sometimes I just really, truly am too busy to get to the dry cleaner’s before they close. Enter YPH. They picked up my overflowing bag of laundry at 8 AM on Monday. They dropped it off at my apartment’s front desk at 6 PM on Wednesday. The clothes (…bedspread…trenchcoat…suede pillow covers…) look great, smell good, and were waiting to greet me when I got home. Dry cleaning is always expensive, but this didnt’ seem too far above the normal dry-​cleaning range. My total bill was expensive because of the bedspread and pillows, but reasonable considering the service, speed, and quality. I’d recommend YPH to any frazzled Washingtonian who likes to feel, once in a while, like (s)he’s in a 5-​star hotel.

Due to the remarkable press garnered for YPH on Unilocal and the fact that my apartment hasn’t seen a vacuum in… um…ever (achoo!), I decided to bite the bullet and have someone give it a good scrubbin’.
As everyone else has noted, the service is top notch. Roger called me the morning of my appointment to tell me the cleaning crew was running about 30 minutes late, which was understandable because it was the day after last week’s big snowstorm. He contacted me later in the day to let me know they would take 10% off of my next service for the inconvenience. Top that with the 5% off discount you get for taking the customer service survey, and I will definitely be calling them again.
I loved these things the most about YPH:
— An amazingly clean bathroom
— A hotel-​style bed-​making
— The way the staff situates everything just so after cleaning; they actually put thought into it, as opposed to just dusting around items and shoving them all back onto the tabletop.
Call them. Your lazy bones will be happy you did.
