I was a patient of Dr. Whitaker’s former partner, Maureen Chua, for 30 years. When Dr. Chua retired, I wanted the best doctor in the practice, and that was Dr. Whitaker. She upgraded the recordkeeping of the practice, and now has all information at her fingertips via computer in the exam room. Appointments are within 10 minutes of being spot-on on time, a rarity in any medical office. She is thorough, explains things, and does no unnecessary procedures. The office is busy, but unlike many, I got an appointment for a routine exam within two weeks. Efficient and friendly staff. I would recommend to anyone who wants quality and competent care — and have to many of my friends.

I have had the complete opposite experience w Dr. Whittaker. She is definitely a busy lady, but I have never felt brushed off or ignored. I am a chronic last minute prescription filler, and over the course of a few years with her, she has responded immediately to my emails and called in what i needed. I also have a number of good friends who use her as well.

I had been a patient for over two years, after a friend recommended her. At first, I appreciated her«to the point» style. But that turned into her and her office’s complete lack of attention or care. I called her office twice in a week to ask for a prescription refill, and was ignored. I called back and they had no record of my calls, at which point I was told the doctor would have to see me(to refill a prescription I’ve taken for years, I had only taken a break for a few months). I said that must be a misunderstanding and asked that the doctor call me to discuss. She never called. I then wrote her a letter, in case her staff just wasn’t communicating well with her. She never responded. I give up. Do not go here if you expect any attention at all.
