Closed. Demolished to make room for the new Walgreens that’s coming in. Dangit I liked Vittorio’s pizza. :(

Quick, filling, decent. These words sum up the vittorio’s pizza experience. They also had a few good beers on tap. This is a solid 3 star establishment. If you don’t demand to be wowed, you won’t be disappointed. I’d eat here again.

The employee/cashier here is terrible. Terrible as in her attempts to deceive tourists. First of all, I work next to the Union Station, so I know my way around. On a weekend, I happen to be with my family from out of town, so our entire group looked like tourists. I ordered 3 slices of pizza and got charged $ 15, so I said — that’s not right… The cashier then cha-ching’ed on the cashier machine and showed me $ 19. I told her(native English speaker here) this is wrong, we have only 3 slices which she reheated for us, so she then rang up the correct amount of approximately $ 11. If I was a tourist, I probably would have paid without recognizing the blatant rip-off. Frankly, this is unacceptable and portrays a terrible image for the US. These are slices of pizzas, there is really no room for cashier mistakes, twice. The place was not crowded nor busy at the time. Therefore, I am unforgiving in this review. As for the pizza, it was average at best.

My teenage son loved the pepperoni pizza from here. He loved it so much he had a second order. I wanted something lighter and found a Vittorios Gelato Bar to the right of the Pizzeria. VITTORIOSGELATOBARWASAMAZING! It was the best food I had while in DC. I had a hand made bread filled with a delicious chicken salad that was flavorful and low fat (after surgery I can tell more than 10 grams of fat, but I felt great after eating this) it comes with your choice of several beautiful salads, I chose romaine lettuce, topped with fresh cucumbers, tomatoes, tomatoes and feta. I also had a small peach gelato after, was the perfect combination of sweet and tart and left me wishing for more. I live in Illinois. When leaving the food court I told the manager that I wished he would put a franchise at the University of Illinois because I am certain it would thrive. If you can, try it! It’s just good heathy food, and nice people.

Above average pizza at a very reasonable price. Love the sausage! Big generous slices. Crust could be cooked a little longer but no complaints. Large selection to choose from. Perfect for the business person on the go.
